As for the wider range, the front and rear changes of the Genesis hood leave the best bits of the car alone. The handsome network and stylish roof line continue to play together well, while the cabin keeps every bit as beautiful as before. We suspect that most customers will notice a set of hairdressing appliances or a revised information and entertainment system, although an optional electric shifter may attract some touches. The new unit is intuitive – rare Noids, and requires drivers to press forward to reverse and backward to push, while there is a prominent park button just before the shifter that does not require much reach. They also look fantastic, with top leather and an aluminum surround.
Pulsing softly and comfortably, the new 2019 Hyundai Genesis G80 Turbo beats the pace, but the V-6 is still the best choice around. With three engines now on display, the Genesis G80 lineup of feet is remarkably complete and comprehensive with something just about every good-looking buyer. The new 3-liter, 9-liter twin-turbocharged 9-liter torque engine fits well with the engine’s lineup, while the soft and luxurious steering of each luxury sedan comes at affordable prices. New 8-speed automatic transmission? Quick and smooth, not like a luxury car gearbox should be. For this reason, we rate 2019 Hyundai Genesis G80 as 8 out of 10 on our performance range.
Genesis are transported on both a 3.8-liter V-6 base and an optional 5.0-liter V-8. Power outputs remain as they are in 2018-311 hp and 293 lb-ft of torque in the base model and 420 hp and 383 lb-ft in the 5.0-liter model. The new V-6, a 3.3-liter engine, is good for 365 hp and 376 lb-ft of torque. All three engines work together with a new 8-speed automatic transmission and are available with a four-wheel drive. We continue to support the V-6 base as the preferred engine, due to its lightweight braking and handling sweetness. Yes, we make this statement even with the addition of sport model. The dual twin genesis is certainly the fastest in a straight line and gets a constant damping control system, but it is only slightly lighter than the V-8 5.0-liter, which is nearly 200 pounds heavier than the V-6 base.
Net performance 3.3 liters is impressive. With peak torque spread from 1300 to 4,500 rpm, Genesis G80 sports are always ready to get up and go. The throttle response is impressive and there is very little turbo lag. It is easy to forget this is a turbo engine. Regardless of the engine, the Genesis G80 touch card is a relaxing, luxurious, insulated ride. It can eliminate large and small defects, although the soft suspension tends to drastically bend and lacks precision handling, even with constant level damping control. Driving, a luxury car light still manages to be accurate, even if it is very light on feedback. This makes the 2019 Hyundai Genesis G80 a major option for comfortable, comfortable, cruise, and if you go with the sport, a point and splash dose of torque leads to impressive speed.
