The last and third option is a 1.6-liter turbo diesel that produces 140 hp and 240 lbs of torque. All of the above models and the new engine are standard on all-wheel drive. However, all-wheel drive is optional. The 6-speed automatic gearbox is standard, while the new 9-speed automatic gearbox is optional.
2021 Chevy Equinox Release date and price

2021 Chevy Equinox RS Exterior
Compared to the distinctive level of design, the 2021 Chevy Equinox RS delivers a more sporty flavor, underscored by things like unique front and rear handling. The redesigned headlights retract to the fenders, giving the grille a broad, bouncy look. A black bow tie and a red RS badge can be found at the entrance to the grille, while straight corner lights are located on the lower bumper.

2021 Chevy Equinox RS engine
2021 Chevy Equinox RS offers two engine options. Its launch is a 1.5-liter LYX included with a four-cylinder turbocharger, which delivers 170 horsepower and 203 pounds of torque, paired with a six-speed automatic transmission. Top LYX is a 2.0-liter LTG four-cylinder engine tuned to produce 252 hp and 260 lb-ft of torque to match GM’s nine-speed automatic transmission. Front-wheel drive is standard, while all-wheel drive is optional.
The redesigned Chevrolet Equinox 2021 will be available this fall, in addition to RS and Premier finishes, and will also be offered at L, LS and LT trim levels.
