2021 Ford Everest Review – Design, Engine, Release date and Price

Everest is a rare bird in the automotive industry today for many reasons. First of all, it is one of the rare models designed today for a specific market. It’s also a true truck-driven SUV, which rides a traditional chassis rig, which is no longer popular. Usually, we expect this situation to end soon, especially when we consider that the company is preparing a number of new models for the near future that can also serve the global market. However, Ford has many things to consider and the latest reports indicate that the 2021 Ford Everest will be completely redesigned. According to unofficial reports, it is expected to bring many developments. The official is still not available. We expect to see the new model sometime in the following year.

2021 Ford Everest redesigned

If we can count on the latest reports, the 2021 Ford Everest is about to be completely redesigned. Given that the current model has been around since 2012, this is quite logical, despite the fact that there aren’t that many competitors today. Everest mainly competes in Australia and there are only a few competitors, such as the Toyota Fortuner and Isuzu MU-X models. All three models are strong and durable performance-focused off-road and off-road.

Therefore, we do not expect the 2021 Ford Everest to change much in nature. We have no doubt that this will continue with a platform on the chassis, possibly based on the new Bronco, expected to arrive next year. In practical terms, this means the same platform as for the current model, but with significant improvements and lots of new design solutions, borrowed directly from the F-150.

Of course, this redesign also brings aesthetic novelties. We are adopting a new style, although exact details are still not available. At this point, we can only assume that the new design is not likely to be as distinctive as the new bronze. Most likely, the front will be borrowed from the North American keeper, albeit with minor modifications. The rest of the car is expected to come with a typical mid-size SUV

Inside we rely on the all-new cabin layout. Of course, the first thing that comes to mind is a new dashboard design, which is expected to use finer materials and have a more elegant look. Also, you can count on a lot of new features, especially when it comes to the latest technical features. On the other hand, the overall layout should not change much. So I depended on the typical three-row cab design.

2021 Ford Everest Engine

When it comes to engines, there are many potential candidates. The first thing that comes to mind is a 2.3-liter EcoBoost. It operates the new Ranger, which produces around 270 horsepower and a torque of 310 lbs. However, keep in mind that Australian drivers prefer diesel engines, so you can count on a reliable 2.0-liter diesel engine, which provides around 210 hp and 370 lbs of torque. We also expect to see another petrol engine on display, with a smaller displacement and reserved for basic finishes.

Some reports also suggest a mixed version, but this doesn’t look very likely right now.

2021 Ford Everest release date and price

Given that the 2021 Ford Everest is expected to be completely redesigned, we assume that the launch date will be scheduled sooner than usual. Maybe that means sometime in the third quarter of next year or so. As for the price, we do not expect to see any major differences from the current model, which is around 50,000 Australian dollars.
