2021 Toyota Auris Hybrid Review – Design, Engine, Release date and Price

Although the Auris plate has declined in most markets, the Japanese manufacturer still holds it in certain parts of the world, especially in Asia. For example, this name is still used in Taiwan, and the company appears to be preparing some interesting developments for the following year. Until now, this version was only available in a petrol version, but it appears that the hybrid version will come at the end. Details are still unknown, but it appears that we can also see some changes, especially regarding standard equipment. Other than that, 2021 Toyota Auris Hybrid shouldn’t be much different than gasoline versions.

2021 Toyota Auris Hybrid specifications

The first thing that comes to mind is, of course, power generation. The first version of the new generation, which came last year, came only in the gasoline formula. It uses a new 2.0-liter gasoline engine, which generates about 170 hp and provides stunning fuel savings. However, the new hybrid model will be more impressive in this regard.

As you know, the new Corolla comes equipped with two hybrid electric motors. According to some reports, both will be offered in Taiwan. The first is a well-known 1.8-liter 1.8-liter engine-based system that is not particularly powerful (122 hp), but provides unparalleled fuel consumption and great reliability. The other has arrived recently and is aimed primarily at the European market. It is a new system based on a 2.0-liter petrol engine. In addition to massively consuming fuel, it also saves a lot of energy, around 185 hp, which also promises some driving pleasure.

2021 Toyota Auris Hybrid Exterior

Regarding the exterior design, we don’t see any major changes to the 2021 Toyota Auris Hybrid. This model comes in the same style as the gasoline version, with only some distinct details like the blue badge, different wheelset and similar things. Although Corolla comes in three body styles, Auris is still the hatchback for the Taiwanese market. It’s a fairly small vehicle, with an emphasis on efficiency.

Mechanically, this model builds on the company’s new TNGA platform, which brings significant improvements in driving characteristics. Dealing is now much better, as is the overall driving experience. The new model is also lighter and more economical.

Again, don’t expect any bigger changes compared to standard gasoline models. In practice, the only notable difference is a new dashboard that adapts to the hybrid transmission set. Other than that, the cabin will remain pretty much the same. Compared to the Corolla hatchback, the Auris is much smaller inside. The legroom in the back is no more than decent, while the luggage space is less than the average numbers for the class. Regarding these aspects, the Toyota Auris Hybrid from 2021 will be similar to the Mazda 3.

2021 Toyota Auris Hybrid Safety

The latest reports indicate that 2021 Toyota Auris Hybrid will be delivered with a full load of safety functions, as is the case with all Toyota models. The standard equipment list includes things like rear view camera, adaptive cruise control, lane aide, road traffic warning, front collision warning, brake assistant, pedestrian and rider detection, high automatic package, traffic signal recognition, detection and detection Roadside, and more. Sounds impressive, but this is something we used from Toyota.
