2021 Volkswagen Arteon Review – Design, Engine, Release date and Price
If we can rely on the latest reports, it appears that 2021 Volkswagen Arteon will get a temporary renewal. This fullback came two years ago as an entirely new model. Originally designed for the Chinese market, the company finally decided to introduce it on a global level.
However, the car appears to be missing in some respects compared to the competition, so we’re about to see it bounce back next year, a little earlier than what you’d expect from a VW. In any case, we assume the company will focus on visual updates and new functionality. However, don’t rule out the possibility of seeing mechanical upgrades either.
2021 Volkswagen Arteon Exterior
Regarding the exterior design, we expect to see a small portion of the updates. This company is not known for the big changes during production cycles. Moreover, even the redesign is sometimes very modest with design changes. The current model follows the branding language, but also comes with a number of unique details. Some are not particularly elegant, and we may see changes in the upcoming update.
Of course, 2021 Volkswagen Arteon will focus on the front, which should be equipped with some modifications to the front bumper, front panel and similar areas. The back of the fastback should not change much. Finally, you can count on new wheels and color options.
Mechanical changes are also possible. It is a fact that the current model does not provide the driving experience you would expect from a car that was announced as a premium model. This is why we have seen some suspension modifications that offer better driving characteristics and better comfort.

2021 Volkswagen Arteon Interior
As we said, many compared Arteon to premium cars, but the fact is that this model is not the same level as models such as the Audi A4 or the Mercedes-Benz C-Class. First of all, there are many hard plastic surfaces in the cabin, despite the fact that the dashboard looks really elegant. On the other hand, the controls are very embarrassing. Therefore, this update should make a number of changes, starting with the new central controls, fine materials and more attractive color schemes, etc.
We also expect a number of innovations in the field of standard equipment. This relates specifically to safety provisions. Although the list of standard jobs is appropriate, it certainly cannot be compared to the number of safety systems that can be found in Kia Stinger, for example. Currently, the list of standard safety functions includes a reversing camera, blind spot monitoring and warning and braking system before pedestrians are discovered.
2021 Volkswagen Arteon engine
Unfortunately, the 2021 Volkswagen Arteon with a 2.0-liter turbo capacity will continue as the only engine option in the group. This unit is good for around 268 hp, which may look good, but in practice things are very different. Acceleration should be better, while the engine is very high at high speeds. On the other hand, the 8-speed automatic transmission with an impressive dual clutch is impressive.
Another disappointment is the fuel consumption, which is about 22 mpg in the city and 31 mpg on the highway. These are below the average ratings for the season. It’s even worse with the AWD models, which return around 20 mpg in the city and 27 mpg on the highway.
2021 Volkswagen Arteon Release date and Price
The 2021 Volkswagen Arteon with some updates, so we expect to see it a little earlier than usual. Most likely this will happen in the last quarter of the following year. The current model starts around $ 35,000 and we don’t expect any further deviations in the future.
