Premieres are available for the upcoming 2022 Honda HR-V. According to them, the next generation is based on the popular Honda Insight sedan. Interestingly, the new HR-V has an almost identical front fascia, LED headlights, grille, LED taillights and wheel patterns. He even ditched a black Toyota-inspired roof, giving this SUV a sporty look.
Under the hood, it can also use the same hybrid system found on Insight. When that happens, the HR-V will be powered primarily by a 1.5-liter gasoline engine and electric motors producing 151 hp, which is about ten horsepower more than the current HR-V.

2022 Honda HR-V Improved Design
The 2022 Honda HR-V offer is clearly inspired by Honda Insight. At first glance, the upcoming HR-V will have the same front end, including LED headlights, more powerful grille and LED taillights. Also, there is the same 17-inch alloy wheels style and what we’ve heard the manufacturer might offer larger wheels at the top rims. The design is subversive and we love the black Toyota-inspired roof that adds an extra sporty dose.
Plus, the sports equipment offers more matte black inserts, glossy black floor spoilers and roof rails. However, the Touring upholstery features glossy gray marquee trims and a better cabin.
2022 Honda HR-V cabin will be more spacious
The new 2022 Honda HR-V has many advantages inside. A highlight of this is the largest and most spacious cabin in its class. In general, we think that the new model will be presented with the same layouts. It provides a maximum cargo space of 58.8 cubic feet. As a result, rear legroom is better than the Mazda CX-3 and Jeep Renegade. Honda HR-V has one drawback, however, a slightly sloping roof that affects headroom.
The current base model LX offers an excellent package of invested money features. Basically, you’ll find cruise control, Bluetooth HandsFreeLink, an AM / FM radio, CD player, and a 5-inch infotainment screen. The upper trim levels include a 7-inch touchscreen with smartphone integration, automatic climate control, heated front seats, an electric sunroof and more.

2022 Honda HR-V engine specifications
There is no official information available about the propulsion system specifications under the 2022 Honda HR-V. From what we’re hearing, the next-generation SUV will likely borrow the Insight’s hybrid system. This means that a 1.5 liter gas engine and electric motors can be used. This combination generates 151 horsepower. However, much of the speculation circulating around the US may not receive the HR-V turbocharger.
In case you didn’t know, the HR-V for the US market used a 1.8-liter four-cylinder engine so far that produces 141 horsepower and 127 pound-feet of torque. In total, with the same system, the current Insight delivers 55 mpg city and 49 mpg highway. Additionally, since the HR-V is a heavier SUV, we don’t think the results will be the same.
2022 Honda HR-V Release date and price
The 2022 Honda HR-V release date may be sometime next year in 2022. However, we are still waiting for more official information. Should showcases happen, the next-generation HR-V would be a great SUV. Prices are early to predict, but we believe anything under $ 25,000 would be accepted for such an SUV.
