The upcoming 2022 Kia Soul continues with updates. Soul is a compact crossover that’s also a very affordable model. However, the Kia Soul offers a surprisingly spacious cabin, comfortable ride and superb handling. Kia offers a lot of modern features, so we think the price starts out surprisingly low. The 2020MY came with a new design, so the new Kia Soul doesn’t offer any major updates.
Still, refreshments are about to happen between them, which is great to hear. Both the outside and the inside get nice and important updates, but nothing changes under the hood. The Soul crossover is available with two engine options, just like the previous model. Sales will start this summer.
2022 Kia Soul Facelift
The new 2022 Kia Soul remains a boxy model with compact dimensions. We think the soul crossover looks cute and ultra modern. The goal is to make this model more competitive so that Kia offers some sort of mid-cycle facelift. Some parts look really attractive, especially the forehead with the well-known ‘tiger nose’ treatment.
The 2022 Kia Soul comes with a slightly wider grille, sharper lines, more powerful bumpers, and possibly new exterior colors. The design is distinctive, but the box form is still an issue as many customers want to see a floating roof. That won’t happen, but some other updates are underway and we are awaiting Kia to reveal more details.

2022 Kia Soul Interior updates
The interior of the 2022 Kia Soul is about to receive further updates. Again, nothing will change drastically, but the recent updates are more than important. The Soul Crossover offers a surprisingly spacious interior, given its size. Although the cabin can accommodate five passengers, four passengers are recommended. The cabin is very comfortable and modern. Kia offers standard fabric upholstery and optional faux leather.
This model continues to offer a 7-inch touch screen and an updated infotainment system. The basic trim level comes with Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, a six-speaker audio system, navigation system, and Bluetooth. The upper trim levels are available with a larger 10.25-inch display, additional USB ports, new driver aids and audio system from Harmon Kardon.

2022 Kia Soul offers two engine options
As far as we know, the 2022 Kia Soul will continue to offer two powertrain options. This small crossover comes standard with the 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine. It’s a petrol engine with 147 horsepower and 132 lb-ft of torque.
Front-wheel drive is standard, as are the variable transmission. Additionally, a six-speed manual transmission is offered. Optionally, you can get a 1.6-liter turbocharged engine with 201 hp. The optional engine also develops torque of 195 Nm and provides a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.
2022 Kia Soul price, release date
The 2022 Kia Soul remains an affordable crossover, starting at around $ 19,000. The top trim level costs $ 29,000. Plus, the Soul EV is available for more than $ 30,000. Sales start this summer and the Soul will compete again with the Hyundai Kona, Mazda CX-3 and Nissan Kicks.
