The highly anticipated 2022 Mercedes-Benz GLE is the luxury mid-size SUV that will mark its fifth generation. There will be a lot of updates and from the first images we can see that the manufacturer will review its design to look more competitive.
Thanks in part to some modifications, primarily to a longer wheelbase by 3.2 inches and shorter overhangs front and rear, buyers can expect a more spacious cabin. As before, the cabin of the Mercedes-Benz GLE remains comfortable, luxurious and technical.
2022 Mercedes-Benz GLE locks up more aggressive
The appearance of Mercedes-Benz will be improved from 2022. The manufacturer will add more aerodynamically and sharper bonnet design lines. The front looks more aggressive thanks to the wide grille and huge air intakes. The LED taillights and sculpted tailpipes define the look.
As before, Mercedes offers level 2 autonomous driving. This system includes the ability to change lanes. The list of safety features is long and includes Stop & Go Assist, Steering Assist, Blind Spot Alerts, Active Brake Assist and Lane Change Assist. The AMG version is also available and will demand all oomph thanks to its sporty looks.

2022 Mercedes-Benz GLE Interior updates
Inside the cabin is more luxury. But as before, the same arrangement still exists, and the new 2022 Mercedes-Benz GLE has two rows of seats with the option to add a fully electronically controlled third row. Thanks to the extended 3.2-inch wheelbase, legroom in the second row feels spacious compared to the previous generation. With all the seats folded down, the cargo area is 73 cubic feet.
The technology is newer on the inside, and the latest GLE has an all-new and highly customizable multimedia system. The same 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster is located next to the equally large digital display and can be operated via touch, gesture control, or voice control.
The panoramic sunroof is also standard equipment and is 50 percent more important than before and guarantees an unforgettable experience. Other options include optional leather seats, chrome and wood grain, and more premium materials.
2022 Mercedes-Benz GLE Two options for command line
Under the hood of the iconic 2022 Mercedes-Benz GLE, two engine options are available. The first engine powers the GLE 350. This powertrain consists of a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that delivers 255 horsepower and 273 lb-ft of torque. It uses Mercedes‘ famous 9G-TRONIC automatic transmission which shifts smoothly.
The second engine powers the GLE 450. This model comes with a supercharged 3.0-liter, six-liter electric motor mated to a 48-volt electric motor. Thanks to this combination, the GLE 450 delivers 362 hp and 369 lb-ft of torque. As the base engine, it will be equipped with the same 9G-TRONIC automatic transmission. According to the latest testing from Mercedes-Benz, this model runs from 0-60 in approximately 5.5 seconds.

2022 Mercedes-Benz GLE Release date and Price
The launch date of the 2022 Mercedes-Benz GLE will be in the summer of 2020, according to the latest reports. The price is not known yet, but we can expect it to be somewhere close to the previous one. The predecessor beats the Audi Q7 and BMW X5 in all segments, starting at around $ 53,000.
