The 2022 Nissan Maxima has been around since 2015, and now, after nearly five years of its life, Nissan has introduced some good temporary refreshments to lure potential buyers with some interesting new equipment.
From the monitoring results, we see renewed speculation as an opportunity to take the 2022 Nissan Maxima SR and put the sporty four doors down the stairs on the flight from San Jose, California, to Ashland, Oregon.
2022 Nissan Maxima: a new EV concept
Speaking of the Nissan EV, we know that it is a reversal of the old trend of taller, lesser, and wider cars from the 1950s, with the opening of the Nissan IM’s ‘high-sport sedan’, a 59.0-inch high-altitude electric vehicle that looks like it could be the next Maxima. Nissan called the design the “sliding cab arch over interior without a B pillar”.
Nissan will place the IMs flat, high-capacity battery under the passenger compartment, a space that designers will prioritize by visually separating the greenhouse from the body, the automaker said. The absence of a conventional combustion engine allows Nissan designers to focus on space “to create open and airy cabins that can double the role of cockpit or dominant spaces such as the lounges.”
The Nissan IMs concept shows the future of the four-door sedan. The target audience is likely to be baby boomers who may not want to get in or out of the car, as well as shared travel services like Uber and Lyft, where their customers will also appreciate the ease of entry and exit of goods. For this reason, the Nissan IM roof is only 0.1 inch lower than the roof of the Infiniti QX30 crossover. Other exterior dimensions are quite typical of modern midsize sedans, with an overall length of 190.0 inches and a width of 74.0 inches on a 114.0-inch wheelbase.
IM uses what Nissan calls a new platform for electric vehicles, with electric motors front and rear moving for all four wheels. Here, the twin engines combine the claimed power of 483 and 590 lb-ft of torque, and the 115 kWh battery pack delivers, Nissan says, a 380-mile range.
Aside from the design flexibility the electric powertrain allows, the IMs has some front-wheel drive, like the Nissan Maxima. Driven by an air suspension with an adaptive steering sensor, this vehicle offers a fully manual and fully autonomous driving mode.
The tricks of the typical Nissan IM include a suicide door without a handle and no B-pillar and a camera to replace the side mirrors that fold into the body when you drive the car independently.
The concept also features 22-inch wheels and tires, a glass roof, narrow pillars and super-flow side windows. There is also an “Invisible-to-Visible” Augmented Reality Display that uses sensors and pulls data to help residents or drivers see potentially hidden objects around the vehicle.
The interior features what Nissan calls a “Comico” fabric, 3D printed on the dashboard, as well as a driver’s screen with a dual-layer floating screen. Nissan calls the center of the wide rear seat a “main seat,” and the smooth exterior folds into a delta shape for private jet travel. The instrument panels and doors are covered in a black woven fabric with golden mesh accents. The interior floor is covered with “Shock Diamond” carpet.
The exterior illumination of this concept has a horizontal beam of light in the front that sends pulses of light inward and into the rear 3D lights, where they meet in the middle of the back before the sequence begins again. It looks cool, but the purpose is unclear. Ditch the pretend show cars, and at least you can see the design language that will likely be adopted for the next generation 2022 Nissan Maxima due to the model years 2021 or 2022. The IM concept also seems to peek at what Nissan envisions an autonomous electric vehicle that could come in the decade Next.
2022 Nissan Maxima Specs
In the specs section of this test car with 19-inch two-tone wheels and a shimmering Sunset Drift paintwork. The shade costs $ 395 extra, but it’s one of the best colors in the Nissan palette.

Every 2022 Nissan Maxima will receive Nissan‘s Safety Shield 360 Technology Package for the 2020 model year. On the long highway, I love using Adaptive Cruise Control, letting the car reach when it comes to controlling traffic and keeping lane.
The interior, although there are some good materials in it, shows its age with the presence of a large amount of hard plastic. The central area around the switches is full of knobs, buttons, and knobs, leaving less space than ideal for storage. There is however a nifty cell phone, which is great if the device is plugged into a USB port for Apple CarPlay or Android Auto tasks.
The renewed Maxima turned out to be a pleasant surprise as a travel companion. But from the powertrain to the interior, Nissan‘s largest sedan could use a few additional updates to make it even more modern.

If you look closely at the 3.5-liter Nissan VQ-series VQ engine, you will feel comfortable with the Maxima. In this case, it produces 300 hp and 261 lb-ft of torque, many of which are intended to drive the Maxima through a passage hatch or blowout on a highway.
The engine is mated to a continuously variable transmission that performs extremely well by maintaining an unrestricted power supply in the winch. Everything looks like a saw when the turns are high, but the starting noise is deep and loud.

The handlebars turned out to be quite heavy; Nissan opted for the Hydroelectric system for the Maxima, and during heavy driving it caused rapid shifts and felt strong when cornering.
The wheel itself is wrapped in leather, with the addition of additional leather. Being the driver’s main physical point of contact with the vehicle, this is well done.
Adaptation of the suspension for the sporty side. Even if the 2022 Nissan Maxima is full of passengers and luggage , it’s still fun to make the detour in Southern Oregon.
The Active Suspension Damping System maintains body order in various conditions. Meanwhile, the brake pedal is steady and responsive. The complete package provides superb skill level and ancient world charm.

2022 Nissan Maxima Price
Seen from the previous version of the 2020 Nissan Maxima which is available in five trim levels: S, SV, SL, SR and Platinum. The base Model S starts at $ 35,145. The mid-range SV and SL start at $ 37,195 and $ 39,535, respectively.
The SR and Platinum trim levels above have been priced reasonably at $ 42,345 and $ 42,435, respectively. All prices include a mandatory $ 895 destination fee. The 2020 Maxima is now on sale.
For $ 44,030, which can be added after the destination fee, the Maxima SR is stocked with equipment and can make it a reliable day driver. This is just speculation as there is no official information from Nissan yet.
The Toyota Avalon and Kia Cadenza are probably the biggest competitors, and both cars are a little fresher than Nissan‘s longtime victims. But with the SR’s suspension tuning, it’s still the sportiest of the group.
The passenger found the Maxima comfortable and roomy, and it enjoyed a lower center of gravity and efficient dynamics compared to similar SUVs. However, it was time for Nissan to overhaul its largest sedan.
