The upcoming Nissan Rogue was captured on cameras during road tests. The first spy shots clearly indicate the third generation of Rogue that will receive numerous upgrades. The 2022 Nissan X-Trail could get somewhat the same treatment. As you likely know, the X-Trail is basically a Rogue model for Europe and Asia.
Certainly, two models will differ from each other in many categories. Engine options are perhaps the biggest starting point. On the other hand, some of the payment system options are exactly the same. And while both models get mixed versions, the outputs are very different. The X-Trail Hybrid gets two different outputs and the price for the new crossover increases slightly.
2022 Nissan X-Trail Engine
We still don’t have any information about potential powertrain changes. The motor range depends on the market. Knowing that the 2022 Nissan X-Trail and Nissan Rogue will have different outputs. Rogue will be powered by 2.5L and 2.0L turbocharged engines. On the other hand, the X-Trail will likely arrive with three engine options.

2022 Nissan X-Trail offers better aerodynamics
The first spy shots show us the rogue American version. We think the upcoming 2022 Nissan X-Trail will receive similar upgrades. The box shape is preserved, but we can’t see any folds under the heavy camouflage. The headlights were placed higher and the grille ended in an inverted trapezoid. Nissan appears to be trying to get more features from the Xmotion concept.
The grille is just the beginning. The back comes with Xmotion taillights. The new X-Trail will carry a cleaner design with better aerodynamics. Some parts of the body appear very subtle. All in all, it’s a stylish crossover SUV that will look even better on the upper trim levels.
2022 Nissan X-Trail New 7-inch screen
Inside, the all-new 2022 Nissan X-Trail will undergo a series of changes. For starters, the cab looks more elegant and elegant. Everything inside looks brand new and modern. Includes new furnishings and displays. Interior space has been kept, but the X-Trail is as spacious as before. Nissan will offer more standard equipment and more safety tools.
