This concept was originally planned for South American merchants. Now the story is a bit different as the Tarok pickup could appear in the US.
This makes perfect sense given Volkswagen‘s confidence in the future popularity of the Tarok pickup. The pickup market is growing and compact pickups are becoming more and more popular. 2022 Volkswagen Tarok Standard and optional motors
The 2022 Volkswagen Tarok is still a performance mystery right now. This pickup truck offers different engine settings in different countries. For example, the South American model offers both gasoline and diesel engines. The base variant will use a 1.4-liter gas engine with 150 horsepower.
Optionally, the Tarok will come with a diesel engine that develops around 200 horsepower and 300 pound-feet of torque. In the US, Tarok will offer a 2.0-liter turbocharged petrol engine. Again, this is not official and we are waiting for the German manufacturer to reveal more details.

2022 Volkswagen Tarok looks incredibly modern
At the moment, all the details are out on the concept, so the 2022 Volkswagen Tarok engine remains a mystery. It looks like Volkswagen will almost certainly stick with the familiar MQB architecture. As a result, the Tarok comes with standard front-wheel drive. When it arrives, the Tarok will be 197 inches long, just like the concept. In terms of design, the concept looks promising.
It is clear that Volkswagen intends to provide a pickup that will not stray far from its origin. It’s a well-known design language and models like the Tiguan and Golf have the same distinctive look. Tarok must undoubtedly offer something new and unique. For example, the front will be completely new, with more modern headlights and a larger grille.

2022 Volkswagen Tarok Interior
The 2022 Volkswagen Tarok will certainly carry a lot of things like its concept. However, it appears that the new Amarok model will have a significant impact on the Tarok’s cabin design. As mentioned earlier, this new truck will be built on an MQB chassis, so we expect a very quiet and smooth ride quality. The cabin layout will be closer to that of the Amarok’s interior, which means the Tarok will offer a similar dashboard design.
We can expect the same button and control configuration. The Concept has a 9.2-inch touchscreen, but the Tarok almost certainly has a smaller unit like the regular. However, Volkswagen did not mention future cabin configurations, optional and standard features.

2022 Volkswagen Tarok Release Date, Price
The price for the 2022 Volkswagen Tarok will definitely start at around $25,000 or less. The goal is to provide an affordable pickup, and the Taroc is the ideal candidate. Sales will start in early 2022 and more details will be available in the coming months.
