2023 BMW 5 Series Updated design and plan
There have been many spy shots of the new 2023 BMW 5 Series and these exclusive photos show just how good the sedan looks. Unfortunately, this is only the first stage of its production and development, which means that there is always the possibility that the design we see in these images will change later. Hopefully, there won’t be many changes to the future sedan.
Judging by those spy shots, the prototype is heavily covered except for the taillights and headlights. While there aren’t a lot of details to know about the new sedan, you can at least get some ideas about what the new look will look like.
The new Beemer is designed to arrive in the fall of 2023 and will come as the 5th Series G60. This mid-size car will be offered in an electric unit. That’s why it’s called i5. It will be an important part of the company’s path toward electric power and technology.

2023 BMW 5 Series Appearance
Among the available spyshots, the i5 appears to have a flat end, especially when compared to the G30. The latter then made its debut in 2017. There is a wide grille that does not resemble the large kidney design seen on the 4 Series or M3 variants. But the 2023 BMW 5 Series is likely to be inspired by the iX lighting in addition to its design.
If you go to the side, you will see that the passenger compartment is designed to be placed aft. The door handles are i4 inspired with recessed handles. Hence the gently sloping roof to the end, merging into the trunk lid, exuding a sleek profile in the design. What is unique about this popular sedan is that there will be a body color diffuser. No exhaust pipes. On the rear windows you will find Hofmeister kink as Beemer’s signature. In general, the proportions of the sedan seem to have grown and expanded. You can tell by the bulges, much more than the current design.

The elegant appearance of 2023 BMW 5 Series has been improved and more technicians can be found in the cabin. There will be the next generation I-Drive 8, which was shown by BMW earlier this year at CES 2021. The general concept is almost the same as the Beemer iX, but there will be a different user interface (the simpler variants) that aims to make the process easier and more intuitive. Relevance. There will be different screen ranges with different functions, from infotainment tasks to driver information.

The new 2023 BMW 5 Series will be built on the Cluster Architecture II (CLAR) platform. This proprietary platform supports both pure electric and plug-in hybrid variants. It also supports combustion units (with light hybrids). Like the i7 (or Beemer 7 Series) and i4 (4 Series), the 5 Series G60 will come with i5, the electric technology. But it’s still not clear yet if the i5 will come with a powertrain similar to the i7 or the i4. To give you an insight, the i7 comes in different battery capacities from 30 kWh to 120 kWh.
