2023 BMW iX1. BMW is very busy these days when it comes to making electric cars. As far as we know, the German company will introduce some new models at upcoming events, including the all-new 2023 BMW iX1 electric compact SUV and the i7 flagship electric sedan.
The 2023 iX1 Electric battery will be officially launched later this year, with a very modern design. The new teaser shows a similar design seen in the recently introduced BMW iX3. The upcoming iX1 has a matching closed grille with a blue surround and very attractive bumper accents in the same color and shape as the headlights. The noisy model is likely to include the BMW M Sport package.
Design
The third generation of the BMW X1 will be launched this year, powered by the new FAAR modular multi-energy platform. As far as we can tell, this platform is designed to be compatible with combustion engines, plug-in hybrids and all-electrics. We’ve also heard that the next-generation X1 could be much larger than the current model, which means it’ll likely be close to the X3’s 4.70 meters, or 185.0 inches, in length.
Recently released teasers show the upcoming SUV with a very attractive design and dual headlights. We also noticed large C-shaped air intakes on the side just below the headlights. The new closed kidney grille also features blue accents, giving the SUV a rugged look.

Cabin Features
Like the BMW X1, the new 2023 BMW iX1 will have a modern and comfortable interior. Fortunately, spy shots of the interior are available, revealing a curved floating screen and a single wide AC vent below the center screen. In general, this is very strange because traditionally all BMWs have two small AC outlets. In addition, the new iX1 also comes with more advanced screens and HUD compared to the iX3 model.

2023 BMW iX1 Engine Specifications
The manufacturer has not released any information about the 2023 BMW iX1 engine. As far as we know, the new SUV should be battery powered. It will also feature an all-new platform. Additionally, the only information officially coming from BMW is that the iX1s will have an estimated range of 257-272 miles (413-438 km).
So we expect the BMW iX1 to have the same 400-volt system as current electric Bimmers. The BMW Group is also working on a new 800-volt battery system, which will be implemented on 2025 models.

2023 BMW iX1 Release Date, Price
The all-new 2023 iX1 fully electric will be revealed later this year. We expect this model to go on sale in the first quarter of 2023 (January-March 2023), with the FAAR multi-power platform. This platform is designed, as we’ve said, to be compatible with combustion engines, plug-in hybrids, and all-electrics.
The price of the BMW iX1 is expected to be around 54,000 euros or more in the European market. Unfortunately, there is no plan to launch the iX1 in the US. The Tesla Model Y, Volvo XC40 Recharge and Mercedes EQB are the biggest competitors to the new iX1.
