A mid-cycle upgrade has just been made on the new 2023 BMW X3 prototype. We can easily see some changes at first glance and the new X3 SUV will undergo stylistic changes both front and rear. The SUV crossover is currently one of the most popular BMW models.
In addition to external changes, the X3 will also receive important internal updates. On the other hand, things under the hood won’t change, although BMW may make minor mechanical changes. Of particular note is that the current 2023 BMW X3 has been on sale since 2018, with US sales last year with about 60,000 vehicles sold. Next year, the new X3 will come with a slight price jump.
2023 BMW X3 Spy Pictures
The latest spy shots of the 2023 BMW X3 show this SUV with a redesigned front and rear design. For starters, it looks like the front will get more upgrades than the rear. The X3 still looks up front, with a sleek front grille, smaller headlights and updated fog lights. The network appears to be a bit wider than before.

The 2023 BMW X3 is also available with the taillights of the same shape at the rear, but the bumper has minor modifications with two exhaust systems. The high-performance X3 M variant will also offer the same exterior upgrades. This model is more sporty, has a sporty look and a more aggressive body.
2023 BMW X3 cabin design
The upcoming 2023 BMW X3 will also get some updates inside the cabin. Unfortunately, not a single photo of the cabin is visible. We heard a lot of gossip about the internal changes, but we do not expect such dramatic changes. This model provides additional comfort and support for the driver. This means that every trim level gets the same updates. Some other reports predict a larger infotainment screen, which is an interesting speculation.
The 10.25-inch touchscreen is said to be in the works and will be offered as standard. There will definitely be new optional packages and BMW should offer some new and optional features as well. As before, the X3 SUV will offer plenty of luxury. This includes leather upholstery, three-zone automatic climate control and new driver assistance systems.

2023 BMW X3 SUV offers plenty of powerful engine options
In terms of performance, the new 2023 BMW X3 is likely to maintain the current engine range. However, this model offers plenty of powertrain options, so that’s not a bad thing. The sDrive30i model uses a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine with 248 horsepower. The M40i variant, on the other hand, offers a 3.0-liter turbocharged engine that produces 355 horsepower and 370 pound-feet of torque.
We love the xDrive30e version, which comes with a hybrid powertrain. This model generates 288 horsepower and 310 pound-feet of torque. It’s also the most efficient powertrain in the lineup. Finally, the X3 M is a potent variant, making 473 horsepower or 503 horsepower. Whichever engine you choose, BMW offers an eight-speed automatic transmission.
2023 BMW X3 release date price
The upcoming 2023 BMW X3 will hit dealers later next summer. Like we said, the price will go up a bit, so the new model will cost around $43,500. The X3 SUV will compete with other luxury models in this segment, including the Mercedes-Benz GLC and Audi Q5.
