2023 Chevrolet Equinox Full Review New
The new 2023 Chevrolet Equinox is slated for release next year, with plenty of upgrades. This compact SUV looks good and offers a very modern interior with seating for five. For 2023, production will make a sleeker front end to give the Equinox a sportier look. As before, however, the Equinox will be offered with a few trim levels, including the base LS, LT, RS and Premier.
Whichever version you choose, you will receive sufficient equipment as standard. Unfortunately, as before, there is only one engine option. So expect the new Equinox to be powered by the same 170-hp four-cylinder engine.
2023 Chevrolet Equinox Redesigned
The new 2023 Chevrolet Equinox will receive a slight cosmetic update next year. So we expect it to be a pretty rounded model. As far as we know, Chevy will make this SUV more sporty thanks to the slimmer front end that will dominate. Unlike the previous model, the new model will come with a modified grille, nicer headlights and a hood.
The RS model is the most popular, which includes 19-inch alloys and darker exterior trim. There’s no doubt the Equinox will look more attractive, and we can even expect a slightly different rear end and more optional wheels and tires.

2023 Chevrolet Equinox More standard equipment
With a slightly restyled interior, the 2023 Chevrolet Equinox is sure to stand out in its class. This compact SUV is roomy, and even the second-row seats offer plenty of room for people to stretch out and relax. As for cargo space, the Equinox offers 30 cubic feet behind the rear seat backs. In addition, you can increase the luggage space by folding the rear seats.
There will also be some tech upgrades, and the new SUV comes standard with a 7-inch (optional 8-inch) infotainment system, which supports Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, audio streaming, Bluetooth, and a Wi-Fi hotspot.
2023 Chevrolet Equinox Engine Specifications
Under the hood, we can expect the new 2023 Chevrolet Equinox to continue using the same engine as its predecessor. The current SUV is powered by a 170-horsepower four-cylinder engine, available with front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive. Since everything remains unchanged, we can also expect the same fuel consumption. Fuel economy is among the best in its class, with the FWD model rated at 26 mpg city and 31 mpg highway, or 28 mpg combined.
2023 Chevrolet Equinox Price, release date and competitors
After a minor update last year, the next generation 2023 Chevrolet Equinox will likely cost a bit more than before. So we expect the 2023 Chevrolet Equinox to start around $27,000 for an entry-level LS. On the other hand, at the top of the line, the Equinox Premier starts at $32,000 before any options. We expect this model to hit showrooms next year with a more eye-catching front end.
In short, there is no doubt about it, the upcoming 2023 Equinox will be more competitive and will try to keep up with models of the same class, such as Honda CR-V, Kia Sportage, Toyota RAV4, Subaru Forester, Ford Escape and Hyundai Tucson.
