2023 Chrysler Pacifica, Limited AWD, Hybrid Full Review New

2023 Chrysler Pacifica. In the age of the SUV, the Chrysler Pacifica and its minivan siblings may never receive the recognition they deserve for being the preeminent family-friendly utility vehicle. Chrysler goes so far as to claim that its minivan can hold up to sixty gallons of milk, redefining the phrase “zero to sixty.” The Pacifica is the only van with the ingenuity to stow its second-row seats beneath its floor to increase cargo space. The Pacifica is available with front- or all-wheel drive and is the only minivan in its class to offer a plug-in hybrid drivetrain. The standard powertrain consists of a 287-hp V-6 engine and a nine-speed automatic transmission. This combination makes the Pacifica reasonably efficient on the highway, although it does not propel Chrysler‘s people-mover as quickly as competitors like the Kia Carnival and Honda Odyssey.

What’s Different in 2023?

This year, our favorite minivan returns with no significant changes or updates. Chrysler has made few changes to the Pacifica since its 2021 redesign.

The Touring L provides the best combination of features and value, as it adds a number of additional amenities over the Touring model. Standard equipment includes a heated steering wheel, leather upholstery with perforations, heated front seats, and 18-inch wheels. We’re content to stick with front-wheel drive, but we recognize that some customers may want the added security that this van’s optional all-wheel-drive system provides. We recommend sticking with the standard 3.6-liter V-6, as our long-term Pacifica Hybrid encountered a few reliability issues during its 40,000-mile stay.

Powertrain, Engine, and Performance

It’s not the quickest minivan we’ve tested, but the front-wheel-drive 2023 Chrysler Pacifica is certainly not sluggish. It reaches 60 mph in 7.3 seconds, which places it in the middle of the pack. Under the hood of the gas-only Pacifica is a 3.6-liter V-6 engine with 287 horsepower and a nine-speed automatic transmission. The Pacifica Hybrid’s 3.6-liter V-6 and two electric motors, which are supported by a 16.0-kWh lithium-ion battery pack, produce a total of only 260 horsepower. In our testing, the Pacific Hybrid required an extra half-second to reach 60 miles per hour than its more powerful relatives.

Towing Capacity and Payload

3,600 pounds is the maximum towing capacity of the Chrysler Pacifica. Chrysler advises against towing with a Pacifica Hybrid.

Energy Efficiency and Real-World MPG

A minivan should be fuel-efficient in addition to being space-efficient. On our highway fuel-economy route at 75 mph, the tested Pacifica Limited returned an impressive 31 mpg. The Pacifica Hybrid can travel up to 33 miles on electric power and is rated at a combined 84 MPGe by the EPA. In the city, we matched the EPA’s estimate of 33 miles. On the highway, the Pacifica Hybrid was able to travel 23,4 miles without using the gasoline engine. Visit the EPA’s website for more information about the Pacifica’s fuel economy.

Cargo, Comfort, and Interior

Minivan purchasers appreciate the Pacifica’s airiness, roominess, and abundance of cubbies, cupholders, slide-out bins, and connectivity features. Fit, finish, and materials are all satisfactory, but there are a few low-end plastic pieces inside the cabin. Luxury Limited and Pinnacle models have taller center consoles that are more seamlessly integrated with the dashboard, giving these trims a more SUV-like feel from behind the wheel. The luxurious Pinnacle model features quilted leather upholstery and offers matching lumbar pillows for the second-row captain’s chairs, a feature we haven’t seen since the Mercedes-Maybach S-class last visited our office. Standard Stow ‘n Go seats in the Pacifica have less padding than those in competing vehicles. The fact that these chairs must fold into the van’s floor is to blame. Chrysler engineers added extra padding to the standard captain’s chairs to compensate for the absence of the Stow ‘n Go second row in the Pacifica Hybrid (the battery pack occupies the entire underfloor storage space). When it comes to transporting cargo, the 2023 Chrysler Pacifica delivers. We were able to fit 53 carry-on suitcases inside with the second and third-row seats folded down. A built-in vacuum cleaner is available as an option, but it takes up space that could be used for a mini-spare tire.

Informational Entertainment and Connectivity

The Chrysler Uconnect 5 infotainment system is displayed on a 10.1-inch touchscreen surrounded by climate-control vents on the dashboard of the van. Uconnect 5 features a customizable home screen and integration with Amazon Alexa. It has wirelessly connectable Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration, as well as a Wi-Fi hotspot. The optional rear-seat entertainment system features dual touchscreens and Amazon Fire TV, which provides access to movies and television via embedded streaming applications. Up to 12 USB ports are located throughout the Pacifica’s cabin, including some USB-C ports that provide faster charging speeds for mobile devices.

2023 Chrysler Pacifica Limited AWD

Chrysler has updated the 2023 Chrysler Pacifica Limited AWD and now it comes with an updated exterior and interior design along with a long list of existing capabilities and state-of-the-art technology. The design changes are clearly noticeable and the previous curved headlight has been replaced with a more structural one, making the front station look more sporty. Chrysler currently has a selection of 4 cars, with the recently unveiled low-cost minivan, the Voyager, looking like the previous Pacifica. The Pacifica hasn’t been the most efficient or even the best in this minivan category for a long time, and it has stayed the same this year as well.

The engine under the hood is the same 3.6-liter V6 that can be mated to a 9-speed automatic transmission, just like last year. The Pacifica comes in four trimmed face stripes, Touring, Touring L, Limited and Pinnacle.

2023 Chrysler Pacifica Limited AWD
Exterior

Some major changes have been made to the Pacifica’s exterior, including new, more powerful, redesigned headlights. The Chrysler Voyager was recently added, and it is also a minivan placed under the Pacifica, somewhat similar to the older Pacifica, which is probably why the Pacifica was redesigned to distinguish the two cars. The brand new 2023 Chrysler Pacifica Limited AWD looks modern and trendy, but the whole design word is jet-set and boring. The most prominent and fully defined version of Pinnacle from Pacifica looks pretty cool, but no less, there’s absolutely nothing to blast about the exterior of this minivan.

The base Pacifica features 17-inch gold-forged litho-aluminum wheels, while the Limited Edition gets 18-inch wheels. Polished Lightweight Alloy Wheels and Best Pinnacle Buckle Comes with 20″ Lightweight Alloy Wheels with Gray Decorative Cases. Sure, the Pacifica isn’t a flashy car, but it’s not exactly a brick-and-mortar people-carryer. Al Wathiq is equipped with a premium streamlined design with a modern exterior and sporty design vocabulary. But the thing is that in the 2023 Chrysler Pacifica Limited AWD, you will find quite a few features that catch the eye. However, the search is likely to be the most sporty and unobtrusive vehicles in this segment.

2023 Chrysler Pacifica Limited AWD interior

The interior of this 2023 Chrysler Pacifica Limited AWD is good, and this cabin is really well built. The center display, knobs, knobs and buttons are incredibly nicely arranged and usually easy to reach and use. The interior features some tough plastics in areas that aren’t quite as labeled in the car’s overall interior quality. It could have been avoided and replaced with good quality, delicate texture, and ground-breaking items to give it a more premium look and feel. The cab features 3-zone smart heat knob air conditioning and rear air conditioning with heating as standard. Interior space is good in the front and second row of the car as the third row is limited and not recommended for older adults.

The Pacifica features quality canvas bucket seats with an affordable Touring buckle, while this Touring gets premium Mckinley leather-wrapped car seats and a leather-wrapped steering wheel. The seats with premium nappa leather upholstery receive limited color tones, while the top upholstery of the Pinnacle features seats lined in caramel nappa leather using second-row lumbar cushions.

2023 Chrysler Pacifica Limited AWD Engine

Nearly all 2023 Chrysler Pacifica Limited AWD builds come with a 3.6-liter V6, the same engine that came with the 2022 model. The engine is virtually mated to an intelligent 9-speed transmission and delivers 287 horsepower and 262 pound-feet of optimum power and torque. Peak power is delivered at a relatively higher 6400 rpm, which means the engine speed is too high for a pickup truck. The lower pair of trim includes a choice between front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive alternatives, as opposed to the two higher models that are truly AWD-only. While the Pacifica appears to be very effective on paper, its efficiency is not what would be expected. The motor is actually powerful and always delivers enough power to deliver, but it actually lacks that wow aspect. The 2021 Pacifica takes 7.3 seconds to reach 60 mph and passes the quarter-mile icon in 16.3 seconds.

Management won’t be from 2023 Chrysler Pacifica Limited AWD. In fact, it’s far from something that minivans adore. With that in mind, the Pacifica’s handling wouldn’t be the most enthusiastic by far, even if it was a massive minivan. There is much better handling of cars in the department. The Honda Odyssey and Toyota Sienna are two of the most efficient cars in their class, and one of these cars, the Odyssey, is the best.

2023 Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid

In addition to the next decade, American Pig is taking a positive note that their implementation is still on track as they use the 2023 Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid and its select hybrid version while keeping competitors in check. This should not be surprising due to the attractive choices at the most attractive price that attracts the audience and keeps increasing profits within the platform ladder.

Exterior Design

However, almost all minivans are starting to look the same. The all-new American 2023 Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid offers premium design flair. Arguably the most nimble box-car, it’s a formidable design declaration. The Chrysler manufacturer and grill grill look superior at all times and feel like they were built exclusively for this truck. Although having extensive features, the Mystic Pacifica helps narrow down the search directly; However, this is a huge truck with its own cabin, so to speak.

The sleek exterior design and grained aluminum grille make the Pacifica a jump among other minivans. The Pacifica measures 10 inches and spans a full steer, dimensions rated at 79 inches and a size of 70 inches. The clearance of the Planet Earth is 5.1 which is actually much lower than many trucks in this segment. The wheelbase is relatively large due to the physical size.

2023 Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid interior design

You can use the Pacifica for day trips or perhaps to transport outdoor camping on weekends and weekends, which is limiting the indoor range. The Pacifica can accommodate 7 to 8 people in one period, depending on which driving style you ultimately choose. You might like the nightstand or perhaps the captain’s chair in the workplace. Seat relaxation is important at the top of the outer cover; However, the low clearance of the property area makes up for the high similarity. The next row is available with a high-quality, wide-open convertible front door. The 3rd row is also accessible and can help 3 implants easily.

With 7 huge windows and low fat columns, the comprehension is generally a very effective element of Pacifica. The amount of the interior is beautiful with many subtleties; However, the same should not be reported for your horrible personal needs while being taken out. The 2023 Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid version would not be pleased with the stow-n-Go feature as this place was followed to house the hybrid drive unit. Other features, such as Connection Match-up, give parents general use of what their children complete in quick succession. For people who look at the interior, you will find it next to each minivan and it shows how many minivans have changed over the course of a few years.

2023 Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid Engine

In fact, unfortunately, we haven’t been able to see any mechanical change to the major release on the Pacifica Hybrid in the two new years. Keep in mind that to drive, a 2023 Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid Minivan is generally a 3.6L V6 engine unit which differs from the actual durability stats given a regular Pacifica. What makes the hybrid so different from the standard product, perhaps, is the power load of the lithium-ion battery that includes connectivity and what the Pacifica Hybrid can do, provided it packs 50 significant ways on a proprietary solar battery, is what it used to be.

Speaking of engine capabilities, the kinematics device features a regenerative braking strategy that recycles the kinetic force used to stop braking methods into electrical energy to recharge the vehicle’s electric battery. In addition, Atkinson coil combustion material is provided to achieve high efficiency without compromising the performance of the car or truck. The electronically powered hybrids work together as the engine is used to create a fully optimized electronic digital engine for the vehicle.

The vehicle uses a one-way clutch system that usually allows the alternator to be applied alone as the electric power generator to deliver torque to the wheels depending on driving conditions, providing better usability. As for the included transmission, a digital 9-tempo isn’t really the smoothest gearbox you can find anywhere; However, it does offer risk-taking buyers an alternative to simultaneously decide on a clean CVT.
