The new Dodge Barracuda comes with three engine options. The first is the Hellcat 6.2-liter supercharged eight-cylinder engine which should deliver a minimum power of 707 hp and 881 Nm. This engine will be available in the latest version of the automatic transmission ZF eight. As mentioned, the new Barracuda will be based heavily on the Dodge Challenger and will use the same platform.
The next engine we’re expecting is a powerful 3.6-liter Pentastar V-6 unit that will likely use the company’s eTorque 48-volt hybrid system. The upcoming Dodge Barracuda was supposed to appear in 2022, but instead it could come sooner than we thought.
