The highly anticipated 2023 GMC Terrain will follow in the footsteps of the Chevy Equinox. Genetically modified twins were supposed to be released earlier, but the COVID-19 pandemic has slowed the market and forced the brand to postpone the launch date. And everything was almost ready for the big reveal. Designers now have extra time for finishing touches and minor modifications to the 2023 GMC Terrain.

The 2023 GMC Terrain also gets an updated lineup of trim levels. We already know that the AT4 off-road model will debut. With an extra year for the team to improve, fans across the board can expect even more progress. The SL, SLT and Denali are almost certain to return. Buyers can increase their much needed quotas with further improvements.
Android Auto and Apple CarPlay are standard on the SL. The base 17-inch wheels will not change. With a leather interior, heated seats and wireless charging, the SLT is almost a luxury model. The basic version will have an 8-inch infotainment screen. There may be some kind of mid-range cutoff level between the two.
2023 GMC Terrain Engine Specifications:
Several sources have confirmed that the 2023 GMC Terrain will be powered by a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine. It has a power of 252 horsepower. Engineers could reduce production and make this device the default option, according to reports. However, most small crossovers produce around 190 horsepower. In the previous version, similar output only powered all four wheels. The base model of the crossover will undoubtedly be FWD.

The 1.5-liter turbocharged engine is still a viable option, though GM hasn’t confirmed this. Even with more power, it’s hard to replace with 170 horsepower and 30 mpg on the highway. The entire market is chasing hybrid cars. The Honda CR-V, Ford Escape, and Toyota RAV4 all have more than 40 miles per gallon of fuel economy. Some of these manufacturers will soon release improved PHEV alternatives. Unfortunately, there is no speculation about the GMC Terrain Hybrid.
2023 GMC Terrain Price, Release Date
With the additional cost of destination, the base price for a GMC Terrain in 2023 will start around $27,000. At the other end of the price range is the Denali model, which costs more than $40,000. AT4 depends on the degree of features you load. According to experts, the trim level of the off-road AT4 can cost up to $35,000. The new crossover Terrain will hit dealers in mid-2022.
