2023 Hyundai Santa Cruz, N Full Review New

2023 Hyundai Santa Cruz. The latest clues about the Hyundai pickup were recently leaked. Well, the Korean company had some serious concepts and announcements, and we expected the release date even earlier. However, it looks like the 2023 Hyundai Santa Cruz is finally on its way. Spy photos of the test mules finally confirm that development is in its final stages. The medium truck segment has been revived and the manufacturer will launch another model. And Hyundai‘s partner, Kia, is about to launch its prototype soon, more than 15 years after we’ve seen the Mojave concept.

Santa Cruz is also very old and needs updates compared to the previous version. Hyundai made an amazing move when it introduced the truck in 2015. However, we’ve been waiting for prototypes and production announcements ever since. Now the 2023 Hyundai Santa Cruz has been spied and the car may be available soon. The coronavirus pandemic will spoil plans and likely delay the premiere by a few months, but the pickup will arrive in 2023 YM.

specifications

The 2023 Hyundai Santa Cruz will be a single-chassis truck, a competitor to the Honda Ridgeline, while all other pickups will be built on a ladder chassis. The main advantage of the Korean car is sporty maneuverability, but the disadvantage is the towing capacity. Experts believe Santa Cruz will not be able to carry more than £5,000.

Hyundai has a new engine. It’s a 3.8L V8 engine and it fits this truck perfectly. While the automaker is not officially known about the details, fans can rest assured that this machine will come with the best performance. With 290 horsepower, the 2023 Hyundai Santa Cruz lines up with the Toyota Tacoma and Chevy Colorado. The engine can also add 260 lb-ft of torque and the power goes to the front wheels. Hyundai has improved the all-wheel drive system and is now smarter than ever. A 3.3-liter V6 is still available, but the Korean company is not likely to use the old powertrain for the new model.

Alternatively, the company could opt for the four-pot motor as the primary solution. Again, there are quite a few options here, and Hyundai can use a naturally aspirated engine that will produce less than a small 200 horsepower. That will bring the price down, maybe even less than $20,000. But truckers are looking for higher towing capacity, and even at its best with a V6, Santa Cruz won’t be able to get it for more than £5,000.

2023 Hyundai Santa Cruz truck has finally arrived

Why are we so sure? Production is expected for several years. Since the automaker decided to step into the new segment, fans have been eager to see the truck at the dealership every year. However, this is the first time a test mule has been on the street. The photographers sprayed the prototypes, which is reminiscent of production in 2023. On the other hand, the automaker does not make the 2023 Hyundai Santa Cruz official.

The situation in the pick-up market is hot at the moment. Ford Ranger returns as Jeep after 30 years. There is always room for more models, especially if they are affordable and can be pulled out. The price of a new Santa Cruz truck starts at about $25,000. The trim levels haven’t been confirmed yet, but there will definitely be packages with more options and prices as high as $40,000.

 Spy Car & Design

The 2023 Hyundai Santa Cruz is an all-new model on the market, and its look is still based on the concept we saw five years ago. The grille is very similar to the largest SUV that the Korean company recently launched. The truck changed the front and headlights. The test mule uses a four-door cabin and a short bed. Pick-up will provide more options, that’s for sure. Single cab, taller body and higher finishes with exclusive lining and materials will be available through upgrades and optional packages.

Experts doubt that there will be suicide doors and designers will choose the classic design. The extendable box provides more space when needed. The touch screen is located in the center console, with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Wireless charging, navigation and premium audio will be available at even higher levels.

Another feature of all Hyundai cars is the warranty, which is longer than most companies offer. We expect to have 2023 Hyundai Santa Cruz with seven years of coverage. The powertrain warranty can be up to 10 years.

2023 Hyundai Santa Cruz N

The Hyundai pickup has finally arrived and according to most reviews, it definitely lived up to expectations. It offers a great combination of pickup versatility and ride quality. If we put a very competitive price on it, there is no doubt that the new Santa Cruz has a good chance of commercial success. However, the Korean manufacturer does not stop there. If we can trust the latest reports, the company is also preparing a performance version of the pickup truck, which will come as the 2023 Hyundai Santa Cruz N.

Officials are still quiet about this, but that doesn’t mean we can’t make predictions. We believe that this version, when it comes, will come with many mechanical improvements starting with the new suspension, bigger brakes etc. We’re also expecting some design upgrades, which should give a more aggressive look to match the Performance Edition. On the other hand, don’t expect any upgrades under the hood.

At the moment, it’s too early to talk about a launch date, but we think the new version could arrive sometime in the second half of next year.

2023 Hyundai Santa Cruz N Design

As we just mentioned, the 2023 Hyundai Santa Cruz N will come with some upgrades over the stock version. While the overall design will remain the same, we are definitely expecting updates in terms of chassis and suspension. Most important will be a new suspension system, with new dampers and other components, that should bring this truck closer to the ground and provide a slightly stiffer ride, resulting in less body roll and a more engaging ride. We also expect the brakes to improve.

In addition to the mechanical upgrades, we’re also expecting some design changes. This points to things like an improved front end, more aggressive bumpers, new wheels and similar things that would bring out the performance nature of the model.

interior

Some upgrades are also expected inside. This refers to things like unique color schemes, contrast stitching, etc., and since we are talking about perhaps the most expensive version of the pickup truck, there is no doubt that it will have a long list of standard equipment. For example, we’re pretty confident that things like a 10.2-inch touchscreen with wired Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 10.2-inch digital instrument cluster, navigation, satellite radio, eight-speaker stereo, and wireless device charging. It was added to the list of standard equipment, as well as goodies such as automatic two-zone climate control, digital key, button operation, remote start, sunroof and mood lighting.

Engine

Despite several upgrades, we probably won’t see something like this under the hood. Instead, the 2023 Hyundai Santa Cruz N will likely come with the optional 2.5-liter turbocharged 4 engine, which already has everything a performance truck of this size would need. It has a maximum power of 281 horsepower and 311 pound-feet of torque, and also comes with a dual-clutch transmission. All-wheel drive will be standard, as will the steering wheel-mounted paddle shifters.

When it comes to fuel economy, we expect the 2023 Hyundai Santa Cruz N to be good for around 18 mpg in the city and 26 mpg on the highway.

2023 Hyundai Santa Cruz N Release Date & Price

The 2023 Hyundai Santa Cruz N may arrive in the second half of next year. However, officials remain silent on this matter, so take this with extreme caution. When it comes to a day, we estimate the starting price will be around $45,000.
