The new 2023 Jaguar F-Type has been officially confirmed and we can expect its debut next year. As far as we know, Jaguar will be making some drastic design changes to the upcoming model. From what we’ve heard, the upcoming sports sedan will be available in two models, a new P450 and an R model. Both should look more aggressive, and we’re expecting a convertible variant as well.
Perhaps the most exciting innovation is the abandonment of the four or six-cylinder engines and their replacement with a new supercharged V8 engine capable of producing 444 horsepower. The manufacturer also offers the F-Type R with a more powerful engine and 575 hp.
2023 Jaguar F-Type Design
The new 2023 Jaguar F-Type will be larger than before as the manufacturer scratches the current platform. In general, this has consequences for a more spacious cabin. As for the exterior, we expected the new model to receive a light facelift. Jag will likely make the styling more attractive with revised LED headlights, and we can expect more sleek 20-inch alloy wheels.
In any case, the current F-Type offers a few wheel designs, with either red or black calipers. Adaptive suspension comes standard, making it possible to switch between comfort on the road and precision on the track. Additionally, the F-Type R will also be available, and should receive some visual modifications and comprehensive standard equipment for both coupe and convertible models.
Inside, the previous model was criticized for having a small cabin. However, the new 2023 Jaguar F-Type will certainly offer more space, thanks to the extended platform. After all, this car is sporty and not at all family friendly. The coupe’s trunk space should be 14.4 cubic feet based on the information we got, enough for two sets of putters or bags for two. Of course, if you opt for the convertible trunk, you only get 7.3 cubic feet.

On the technology front, the Jaguar F-Type comes with simulated leather/suede trim, automatic one-zone climate control, 6-way power seats, a configurable 12.3-inch digital driver information display, and a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system. . We expect navigation, Wi-Fi, satellite radio, a USB port, and Apple CarPlay/Android Auto smartphone integration to be standard as well. The F-Type R is also available and includes 12-way power seats with memory settings, a steering column with memory and auto-dimming mirrors.
Jaguar brings more power under the hood
Jaguar is dropping the old four- and six-cylinder engines in favor of only the V-8. As mentioned, the upcoming sports car will consist of two models, a new P450 model and an R model. The F-Type P450 should still be available as a coupe or convertible with rear-wheel drive or all-wheel drive. Interestingly, this time around, the manufacturer added a supercharged 5.0-liter V-8 that produces 444 horsepower and 428 pound-feet of torque. Jaguar claims that this model will reach 100 km/h in 4.4 seconds with a top speed of 177 km/h.
The F-Type R is a more powerful engine. It also uses a supercharged 5.0-liter V-8, but produces 575 horsepower. Unlike the P450, this one comes standard with all-wheel drive. Jaguar also mentioned that the Model R can hit 60 mph in 3.5 seconds.
