With the arrival of the all-new Jeep Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer models, the new 2023 Land Rover Range Rover Sport will receive significant upgrades. The current generation has been around for almost a decade and this SUV is finally entering the next chapter. Since the debut of the current Range Rover Sport in 2014, Land Rover has faced stiff competition from the Mercedes-Benz GLE and BMW X5.
Over the years, both models have undergone significant redesigns for new versions. Land Rover cannot afford to lag behind the competition, as the 2023 Land Rover Range Rover Sport is one of the brand’s best-selling models. However, the first spy photos of prototypes point to the existence of an all-new Range Rover Sport.

2023 Range Rover Sport Spy Shots
The upcoming 2023 Land Rover Range Rover Sport creature is getting a redesign. The very first spy photos show just that. Unfortunately, the prototype remains well hidden, but we anticipate evolutionary aesthetic adjustments. Land Rover has installed new slimmer headlights and horizontal taillights. This gives this SUV a Velar-like appearance from now on. In addition, it has a larger rear spoiler and a more profiled body, which gives it a more aggressive look than the standard Range Rover.
The new Range Rover Sport appears to have the same wheelbase as the current model, but with fewer overhangs. At the front is a revised grille pattern with slightly angled rectangular design components, as well as a reworked bumper with a larger lower air intake grille. We’re waiting for the camouflage to come off, but the redesign is definitely going to happen.
2023 Land Rover Range Rover Sport Interior features
Unfortunately, spy photos don’t show the interior upgrades. Either way, the 2023 Land Rover Range Sport is sure to get a lot of new features. As always, the manufacturer will provide a luxury cabin with a high level of comfort and a long list of standard and optional features. We are confident that the Range Rover Sport SUV will have a fully digital instrument panel. In addition, a larger touchscreen, luxury materials and redesigned switchgear are offered.
2023 Land Rover Range Rover Sport New Hybrid Powertrain Option
The new 2023 Land Rover Range Rover Sport can replace its existing supercharged V8 with a new twin-turbocharged V8 as part of a partnership with BMW. In addition, the all-electric model can use the same electric motor as the BMW iX. The most important change takes place under the skin.
The new Range Rover Sport will sit on a company’s Modular Longitudinal Architecture. This platform supports a variety of electric powertrain options. That includes mild-hybrid, plug-in hybrid and all-electric options. The upcoming SUV will reportedly offer a variety of electric configurations.

2023 Range Rover Sport SVR
The upcoming 2023 Range Rover Sport SVR is set to come as an and the most assertive ride is to come. Several sources have stated that the next car will likely be ready in 2022, so it will be interesting to see. There will be many redesigns and updates, and it looks like this SVR is undergoing a complete redesign with a new chassis and architecture. So, what is the manufacturer’s plan with this? Let’s dig it one by one.
2023 Range Rover Sport SVR line
Range Rover has its own line of a more luxurious car with all the great technology and enhanced comfort. Range Rover Sport itself is classified as a mid-size five-door SUV. It is included in the luxury line where all the standard features are optimized and improved compared to the regular ones. As if that wasn’t enough, Range Rover decided to have an SVR variant of their sport. SVR is for special vehicle, as the R demonstrates the highest level of automatic fine-tuning and quality you can ever find.
2023 Range Rover Sport SVR New Sports
So, what is the plan for the 2023 Range Rover Sport SVR? First of all, the SUV is still heavily camouflaged, but there is a clear design of four exhaust pipes. Yes four! From this design alone, you can tell that the new Sport SVR won’t come with the usual Rover styling.
It’s hard to make out of heavy camouflage, but on the overall styling side, the Sport SVR will probably still be in the same proportion – with the same square design and layout as the regular. But the new one may have some updated aspects such as a new look front and rear, revised side details, as well as slimmer taillights and headlights. From the prototype it looks like there will be split brake lines on the lower corners of the bumper. It can be part of a cover-up, but it can also show a new design improvement.
Then the 2023 Range Rover Sport SVR car was spotted close to the Nürburgring racetrack in September. The SUV was completely covered, but the headlights, grille parts and windows were not completely covered. Of course, the Sport SVR should have looked the same as the other versions, but this one has a noticeable difference. For starters, the exhaust pipes are the obvious sign. If the exhaust pipes alone are “extreme”, think about what the remaining design will look like. Many expected the new 2023 Range Rover Sport SVR to have a bolder look with powerful brakes, a firmer spoiler with a roof-mounted pattern and sportier bumpers.
As for the interior, it seems that there are changes inside. Front seat side bolsters have been added. The upholstery options are definitely more exclusive and in-depth. There will be improved digital counters and an infotainment system. Rumor has it that the riding modes will improve, with the Sport setting designed to be very fast.
2023 Range Rover Sport SVR power and performance
The new 2023 Range Rover Sport SVR will come with a twin-turbo V8 capable of producing 600 horsepower. It’s definitely an increase over the Range Rover Ultimate Edition Sport SVR in the 2022 model which produces 575 horsepower. The only thing that affects performance is the overall build. The new SVR will use Jaguar‘s Modular Longitudinal Architecture, a proprietary platform used on some Range Rover models. This construction can support internal combustion engines as well as electric, hybrid and mild hybrid powertrains. With a setup like that, it’s no wonder the Sport SVR will not only be exclusive, but powerful too.
2023 Range Rover Sport SVR Price and release date
The non-SVR variant is likely to hit the market in late 2022, while the 2023 Range Rover Sport SVR is expected to launch in early 2023. The price of Range Rover Sport 2023 is unknown.
