2023 Peugeot 4008 Full Review New
Peugeot will expand its range of crossover SUVs in 2022 and the new model to be released is the trendy 2023 Peugeot 4008. Inspired by the rapid success of the coupe-style SUVs of the leading brands, Peugeot will introduce a more elegant and sporty high-performance model to its lineup.
The new model should be a coupe-like derivative of the successful Peugeot 3008 and should be marketed under the 4008 designation, reports claim. Peugeot’s sporty SUV will share stiffening and powertrains with the 3008, and the same should be done with the in-cab design. The model should offer a variety of powertrain options, including hybrid, diesel and plug-in variants. It will also adopt the brand’s latest technical and safety features.
2023 Peugeot 4008 Engines
Like the current 3008 model, the upcoming 2023 Peugeot 4008 should be sold with a range of powertrain options. The model should use the Pure Tech three-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine. The diesel range should include two BlueHDI 1.6-liter and 2.0-liter units. An additional option should be the 1.6-liter THP engine from the DS 7 Crossback.

The model will also not outpace electrified powertrains. Two additional settings are required. One of about 240 horsepower will combine a 1.6-liter THP with a single electric motor in the front section. The same 1.6-liter THP, but mixed with two approximately 300 horsepower electric motors and all-wheel drive, becomes the second configuration of the PHEV system.
The 2023 Peugeot 4008 will also rely on custom software and suspension tuning to provide a more engaging ride.
2023 Peugeot 4008 Design
As reports claim, the new Peugeot 2023 Peugeot 4008 will not be made from scratch. It will use PSA’s latest EMP2 modular system, which is the basis for the 3008 and 5008 models. The modern design system uses high-strength steel mixed with aluminum and magnesium alloys and composites for a lightweight yet solid and durable chassis. It also enables the implementation of modern technologies and powertrain solutions. In the case of the new 4008, the system needs more tweaking to provide a more engaging ride. To achieve this, the new model gets a unique suspension.
In terms of design, the new 2023 Peugeot 4008 SUV will be based on the 3008 and 5008 with a more rounded and more refined design. The model also gets some unique design elements. The front section should come with the brand’s signature but with a more robust mesh design. There will also be angular headlights with LED leaf accents. A sporty front bumper and sculpted hood complete the front design.
The profile gets attention with a distinctive line and sloping roofline and there will be less glass. The rear section should combine modern full-width taillights, a sculpted tailgate and a sporty rear bumper. The model will also be offered for sale with an attractive wheel design.

2023 Peugeot 4008 Interior and equipment
Peugeot won’t reinvent the wheel when it comes to cabin design, reports claim. The 2023 Peugeot 4008 Coupe will use the same interior as the 3008, but will add some sporty touches. The model will adopt a low seating position and sports seats.
The brand’s innovative cockpit design with a high-position head-up display, instrument panel and sports steering wheel will also be used.
Despite its rapidly sloping roofline, the Peugeot 4008 should offer impressive comfort for five seats. The model combines the innovative i-Cockpit design with high-quality materials and attractive inserts. The 2023 Peugeot 4008 will also be equipped with modern security equipment that will be available from the base version. Each variant will have an automatic parking brake, while systems such as adaptive cruise control, lane assist and blind spot detection should be offered in the optional package.
2023 Peugeot 4008 release date and price
The new coupe-like 2023 Peugeot 4008 is supposed to go on sale in 2022, but it is not yet clear whether the ongoing pandemic will push the model’s appearance beyond 2022. Peugeot has not commented on this. The price is also a mystery. The price range should start from €30,000 from the lowest to the average in the UK.
The modern coupe-like Peugeot 4008 will be an alternative to similar models of German luxury brands.
