Polestar confirmed in May 2022 that the 2023 Polestar 3 will be unveiled to the public in October of this year, and now the automaker has announced the unveiling date. The electric SUV will be displayed in its entirety at a special launch event on October 12 in Copenhagen, Denmark, which will feature the company’s chief executive officer, Thomas Ingenlath.

Based on a new platform that will be shared with the next-generation Volvo XC90, the Polestar 3 will be sold as a high-performance electric SUV and will be Volvo/most Polestar’s expensive and luxurious SUV. In the world of Polestar, however, performance encompasses more than just acceleration, and the new model will feature a dual-chamber air suspension and active dampers. The tune of the suspension will be selectable between comfort and sport modes.

Engine

The initial Polestar 3 will feature a rear-biased dual-motor powertrain with dual-clutch electric torque vectoring on the rear electric motor. The track-inspired package will also include chassis tuning from Polestar Engineered for an even sportier driving experience.

lvo XC90 is also on the same platform, but the Polestar 3 will come with a different floor mount.

As for styling, we also have some that reveal strong wheel arches, strong shoulders and a wide stance. We also see new T-shaped headlights and sporty bumpers. Unlike other Polestar models, the Model 3 will be more aerodynamic thanks to the more angular A-pillars, a lower height and a closed upper grille.

2023 Polestar 3 Cabin Rumors

Inside, the 2023 Polestar 3 could come as a three-row SUV, but it had good reason not to. Since this model is all electric, the manufacturer will put a large battery underground. The Polestar 3 shares its battery with its upcoming electric sibling (Volvo Embla), which rides on the same platform as the SPA2. This is basically a skateboard chassis with a different floor structure that allows for large batteries. Among the many interior features, we also expect 4-zone automatic climate control, driver’s seat with memory, navigation, wireless charging, multiple premium audio systems, head-up display and much more as standard.

There should also be plenty of standard safety features, such as Blind Spot Monitoring with Steering Assist, cross-traffic warning with brakes, off-road mitigation and protection, lane assist and front/rear camera monitoring.

2023 Polestar 3 Price

The Polestar 3 will be priced between $60K and $70K. The new SUV will debut in October, although the exact date of sale has not yet been officially announced. With its electric motor and attractive design, the upcoming Polestar 3 will compete with models such as the Porsche Macan, Genesis GV60 and Tesla Model Y. Stay tuned for more updates as they become available.
