The new 2023 Volkswagen Touareg and the high-performance R model are set to arrive later this year. According to the manufacturer, the upcoming model will receive some exterior upgrades that will separate this SUV from other models in the Volkswagen lineup.
Many believe that in addition to changing the appearance of the mid-cycle, the cabin of this model will also be redesigned. So we can expect more high-quality materials and perhaps some of the latest technology in them. Anyway, VW also claims there will be some mechanical changes under the hood as well, and buyers can expect four powertrain options, starting with the 3.0-liter V6 turbo diesel.
2023 Volkswagen Touareg redesign
When it comes to exterior styling, the 2023 Volkswagen Touareg gets a mid-cycle refresh. From what we hear, the manufacturer will focus primarily on the visual appearance. So SUVs should be more attractive, but the changes will not be significant. Simply put, Volkswagen will only make some changes in areas such as the grille, fenders and rear.
Based on the latest news, the upcoming model will continue to run on Volkswagen’s premium platform known as MLB. It should be noted that the same platform is common to models such as the Audi Q7, the Porsche Cayenne and so on. Ride quality is great, and the VW Touareg comes standard with air suspension, all-wheel drive and many other premium features. The R model is the top of the line, which should give a sportier look thanks to the black finish, more attractive 22-inch alloy wheels and high-performance brakes.
2023 Volkswagen Touareg More luxury interior
From the inside, it looks even more impressive thanks to the great build quality. 2023 Volkswagen Touareg is distinguished by many high-quality materials, even in the entry-level model. In addition, the amount of technology is excellent and the cabin is more luxurious compared to its sister Tiguan. The overall design will likely remain unchanged and we can expect this SUV to offer a completely spacious cabin.
However, there should be some novelties in the list of standard equipment. The Touareg comes standard with a 12.3-inch digital instrument panel and a massive new 15-inch infotainment screen. The high-spec Touareg R version will offer a large number of exclusive features. With this version, you can count on perforated leather seats with R-shaped stitching, heated and ventilated front seats, keyless entry, atmospheric interior lighting, etc.
