2024 Acura RDX Full Review New

2024 Acura RDX. Because Honda‘s luxury business needs to catch up to other premium automakers in terms of electrification, Acura has been quite busy recently. We already know that at least two electric crossovers will be available soon. Rumors suggest that the smaller vehicle, which will be the company’s entry-level EV model, will debut as the 2024 Acura ADX.

The Acura RDX is a compact luxury crossover SUV. The Technology Package is an option package available for the RDX that adds a variety of tech-focused features to the vehicle. These features can include things like a GPS-linked climate control system, a premium audio system, and a color head-up display that projects information onto the windshield. The exact contents of the Technology Package may vary depending on the model year and trim level of the RDX.

As you know, the Japanese manufacturer is still developing its own EV technology that wasn’t ready before 2026. So, just like the ZDX, the 2024 Acura ADX will borrow many design and technical solutions from General Motors, especially in terms of battery technology, as the company offers Some very advanced solutions. On the other hand, Acura will work on the rest of the design, so we’d expect to see styling that more closely matches the brand’s familiar design philosophy. Recent reports indicate that the new electric vehicle will arrive sometime in the second half of this year. 2024.

2024 Acura RDX Redesign

This will be Acura‘s new all-electric crossover and from what we know so far, it’ll be an entry-level model, smaller than the ZDX. Exact proportions are still unknown, but most unofficial reports point to a similar size for the new Honda HR-V. We might be looking at a slightly longer wheelbase, but the overall size should put this crossover between compact and subcompact parts.

Mechanically, the new model will be based on GM’s BEV3 platform, but we have no doubts that the Japanese manufacturer will do things on its own, especially when it comes to setting up the chassis and suspension, which should provide a high level of sportiness. Style-wise, a lot of the inspiration should come from the Precision EV concept, which is the direction we expect the new Acura model to go in, at least in terms of aesthetics.

2024 Acura RDX Interior Rumors

Regarding the interior design, it’s too early to talk about the details. The Precision concept exemplifies a very futuristic design approach and we don’t expect much of it to end up in a production model. Instead, we’d expect to see a more conservative design approach, with a more traditional steering wheel, simpler dashboard, and so on.

In terms of seating arrangement, we will see two rows of seats and a capacity for five passengers. The front seats should be large and spacious, while the second row should easily accommodate adults. A decent sized cargo area is also expected.

2024 Acura RDX Powertrain Specification Performance

As we just mentioned, the 2024 Acura ADX will borrow many technological solutions from General Motors and this mainly refers to battery technology. The new crossover will use the BEV3 platform and, as such, will feature Ultium battery technology. This is GM’s most advanced technology, supporting a wide range of battery capacities, between 50 and 200 kWh. In addition, it offers very advanced charging features, so there is no doubt that ADX will benefit from it a lot.

At this point, the exact battery capacity is unknown but some sources have speculated a range of around 250 miles in the base version. On the other hand, higher trim levels will likely feature a slightly larger battery, which should guarantee a range of about 300 miles on a single charge. As we just mentioned, Ultium technology offers charging speeds of up to 300kW, so we think DC charging will be fast enough.

Regarding the payment system, details are still not available. However, rumor has it that the base 2024 Acura ADX will power a familiar 240-hp GM electric motor, mounted to the front axle. An AWD model will also be offered, with an auxiliary electric motor in the rear, with a total output of 340 horsepower.

2024 Acura RDX Release date

Although many see this model as a defining item, the 2024 Acura ADX is in fact still awaiting official confirmation. On the other hand, unofficial reports indicate that it may arrive in the second half of 2024.

2024 Acura RDX Update

Four years after entering the market, the luxury compact crossover is ready for a restyling. Small changes are all we’ve seen in the past few seasons. Now, a bigger dose of modification, inside and out. Enthusiasts are still looking for an additional engine lineup. Turbo-four is very powerful. However, the 2024 Acura RDX will offer a new configuration. The hybrid model is a logical choice, but we still don’t know what kind of setup the compact SUV could apply. With the Type S back in business, experts are speculating which model will get this kind of package. RDX is one of my favourites.

There are many reasons why you should wait for YM 2024 if you intend to buy this crossover. First of all, it will be new, compared to this season’s carry-over. Acura will do everything possible to retain preferred features and fix all issues with the vehicle. The 2024 Acura RDX will be a luxury car, and it will be priced accordingly. However, the company has been criticized for not having a prestige copy. The Type S can fix that. The price is okay, and the buyer gets a lot of equipment. However, any additional options will require the purchase of the entire package.

2024 Acura RDX Hybrid And Type S

Two hot rumors. The 2024 Acura RDX Type S will always be interesting because of the improvements this package brings. For a long time, it was not produced. Until a few months ago, Acura offered the TLX and MDX with this package. It didn’t take long for the experts to start bidding on who would be next. RDX belongs to the popular compact SUV class. Plus, crossovers need to have more options under the hood. On the other hand, the current configuration is very powerful with 270 hp. As mentioned, the RDX needs a prestige version to compete with the German premium crossover. The Type S will not use the Mercedes-AMG and BMW M versions with 500 hp.

Another must-have drive system is the hybrid. Most competitors already use this type of configuration to increase power and fuel consumption. It’s a wonder why the RDX doesn’t borrow setup from its not so premium brother, the Honda CR-V. Engineers have made it one of the most efficient on the market, at 42 mpg. The 2024 Acura RDX Hybrid will definitely need more power than the CR-V crossover. The Type S may also be a hybrid version of the existing machine, giving it a total output of just over 300 pounds.

Standard Drive, SH-AWD

Under the hood of the 2024 Acura RDX will still be a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine. The output will surprise most fans. The compact crossover is poised to crack 270 horsepower and 280 lb-ft of torque. This is not surprising for the luxury segment. However, many other automakers use similar configurations for their entry-level models. Top-end options are usually above 300 HP. It could make the Type S or the RDX Hybrid do the same.

A ten-speed automatic gearbox and front-wheel drive are standard. However, all owners will recommend Superior All Wheel Handling (SH-AWD). This is a $2,000 investment. Fuel mileage is not affected much. With all-wheel drive, the crossover produces 24 mpg, while the standard setting delivers 1 mile more.

Equipment, Packages And Prices

The base 2024 Acura RDX will come with several standard options. Well, the $38,000 price tag means this is no ordinary crossover. Highlights include a set of 19-inch wheels, a panoramic sunroof, dual-zone climate control, a 10-inch screen, and AcuraWatch security. Of course, there are many other features available even in the basic version. We’ll see what kind of packages the new RDX will offer. Well, the specification A is the most popular upgrade, not just in compact crossovers. Larger wheels, ventilated seats, and leather seats are notable additions. Advance is the high-end package which has the most impressive features. The technology package adds good equipment at an affordable cost.

2024 Acura RDX News

Acura‘s RDX compact crossover SUV delivers solid performance with a combination of good looks, stylish interiors and a wealth of technology features available at a lower cost than the competition. The all-new RDX for the 2019 season arrives on Acura‘s new platform with turbo-4 power and a highly advanced all-wheel-drive system. RDX 2020 arrives without major changes. For the upcoming 2024 Acura RDX, there’s no evidence the model will make any major upgrades, but rumors are swirling that a higher-performance Type S version might be introduced.

A prototype version of the rumored RDX Type S has yet to be seen on the road backing up the claims about its arrival and Acura has yet to comment on the matter either. There was no indication that a hybrid powertrain would be added for the new model year. What we’re hoping for is improvements in technology features and changes in equipment availability.

2024 Acura RDX: The Design

Entering its third model year since a complete redesign, the 2024 Acura RDX is not expected to feature any noticeable visual or structural improvements. The current third-generation Acura RDX uses this new platform that uses more than 50 percent high-tensile steel to increase stiffness. This model also applies the brand’s latest language which should also apply to the new generation Acura MDX.

The Acura RDX attracts attention with its powerful body lines, sleek roofline, thick wheels, and modern headlights and eye-catching taillights. It also comes with a sports bumper. The next release should introduce a new wheel option and expand the color palette with new options.

Unconfirmed reports and rumors abound about the possible arrival of a 2024 Acura RDX Type S. Rumors have it that the RDX Type S should get split bumpers, a quad exhaust setup, performance wheels, and Type S badging.

Interior And Equipment:

The current RDX features the brand’s new cabin design and is equipped with modern technology and safety systems. The model has an elegant dashboard with an elongated main display. The RDX also scored highly for its comfortable front seats and load capacity. This model offers up to 58.9 cubic feet behind the front seats while there is 29.5 cubic feet of cargo space with all functional seats. The upcoming 2024 Acura RDX won’t bring any noticeable changes inside the cabin, but there should be more standard equipment and upgrades to the infotainment system.

The entry-level version will come with a large 10.2-inch center screen, Apple Car Play, Android Auto, faux leather seats, and so on. Base equipment will also include the AcuraWatch suite of active safety systems including lane keep assist, lane departure warning, adaptive cruise control, collision warning, and automatic emergency braking. For the extra money, this model will add leather seats, navigation, blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alerts, and so on. Enhancements such as ELS studio 3D surround sound system, head-up display, adaptive suspension, surround-view camera, etc. are also available.

2024 Acura RDX: Performance

The upcoming 2024 Acura RDX will return with the same turbocharged engine as the Honda Civic Type R. The turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine produces 272 horsepower and 280 pound-feet of torque. The engine works with a smooth 10-speed automatic transmission. This combo provides above-average acceleration and equals handling of the model. Available adaptive shock absorbers improve ride quality even further.

This model will also offer an advanced all-wheel drive system that directs up to 70 percent of the power to the rear wheels. Torque vector distributes up to 100 percent of the power between the rear wheels. The turbo-four-powered RDX with front-wheel drive should manage 22 mpg city and 28 highway. With all-wheel drive equipped, the result should be 21 mpg city and 27 highway.

If rumors about a Type S version are true, the new 2024 Acura RDX will come with a powerful 3.5-liter twin-turbo V-6 under the hood and a significant power boost. The model will also feature upgraded suspension and brake components along with aerodynamic modifications and high-performance wheels.

Acura RDX 2024: Edition And Price

The 2024 Acura RDX should follow the brand’s usual release schedule and appear in late spring this year. The price range should remain close to the current one. The base Acura RDX should be available for around $38,000. With all upgrades installed, the price will rise to over $45,000.
