After the facelift for 2022, we don’t expect any major changes to the new 2024 Chevrolet Traverse. The company may update the color palette and some infotainment features, but the overall look will remain the same. One of the things that all-new SUVs need is a hybrid option. Traverse only offers a V6 engine, with no other options. On the other hand, competition is already taking advantage of hybrid setups to provide buyers with more efficient options. However, GM is currently working on a few fully electric vehicles, so it seems that hybrid technology isn’t a priority at the moment.
The 2024 Chevrolet Traverse remains a reliable SUV for extended family trips. The vehicle is 205 inches long, which could put it in the full-size category. Tahoe and Suburban are the best choices if you’re a fan of the logo tie. The smaller Traverse leaves the Blazer as a two-row mid-range model. The third row offers more space than the competition. Still, some competitors offer V8s. Thus the crossover remains larger, but with a smaller, less powerful mill.
2024 Chevrolet Traverse accessories and packages
It is not always easy to choose the right version of the car. The 2024 Chevrolet Traverse will make it even more difficult with so many options that the company has to offer. There are no engine room options, but everything else makes up for it. The basic version is LS. Highlights of this version include 18-inch alloy wheels, automatic headlights, three climate zones, the option to have eight seats and a heated second-row bench seat. There are also a few notable safety options that give occupants peace of mind.

The Chevrolet Traverse LT 2024 is available in a fabric and leather layout. The first upgrades the previous trim level with roof rails, fog lights, second-row captain’s seats, electrically adjustable driver’s bucket and wireless smartphone charger. Even for the LT Cloth, a leather steering wheel is standard. The LT Leather comes with heated seats and steering wheel, electric passenger seat adjustment, touchscreen display and larger scale displays, as well as a power liftgate. The premium package is available as another upgrade. It offers excellent sound, a power outlet, and an adaptive cruise control. Traverse RS adds larger wheels and darker design touches, both inside and out.
The Premier Edition is a high-end option priced at around $50,000. For that price, you get a unique design with chrome detailing, a hands-free tailgate, memory settings for the steering wheel, mirrors and cockpit, and ventilated front seats. The only model that outperformed this offering was the High Country. Designers will pack the latest technical and safety features into this trim level.
2024 Chevrolet Traverse Red Line New Edition and Colors
One of the things we can expect from the 2024 Chevrolet Traverse is the return of the Red Line Edition. This was an optional package for some packages. However, the company discontinued the package after the redesign. Well, some updates will be made at YM 2024. Old fans want Redline, but GM can prepare something new and original.
There’s not much to expect, besides optional packages and an updated color palette. The current version comes in four colors for the basic configuration. These are Silver Ice, Summit White, Mosaic Black, and Northsky Blue, all of which are metallic. The LT’s cabin unlocks Silver Sage and Black Cherry unlocking, plus a few premium options – the Tricoat Iridescent Pearl and Cherry Red Tricoat. Higher trim levels mean different choices in interior materials and design themes.

2024 Chevrolet Traverse Specifications, hybrid engine
Under the hood of the 2024 Chevrolet Traverse is a 3.6-liter V6. The company dropped a four-turbo engine, leaving a factory six-cylinder as its sole engine. Well, the discussion has opened – what could be the next option for an SUV? It is rumored to be a hybrid. Actually it’s hard to believe. General Motors is still lacking in offering such configurations for the compact class, with hybrid crossovers dominating the market with exceptional efficiency.
For now, the 2024 Chevrolet Traverse will remain with a V6 engine and 310 horsepower. The engine also sends a standard 270 lb-ft to the rear wheels via a 9-speed manual transmission. Optionally, all-wheel drive provides more traction. Gas mileage isn’t that great and a hybrid system can solve that problem. The Traverse, on the other hand, can tow up to 5,000 pounds, which is the class average.

2024 Chevrolet Traverse prices
The base MSRP for an SUV is $35,000. Once again, that’s what we’d expect from an SUV with a V6 engine. All-wheel drive adds $2,000 and seems like a reasonable upgrade. Another way to expand the lineup is perhaps the all-terrain vehicle. This package is also missing from the current Traverse. Kluth, LT and RS mid-range versions, priced under $50,000. Premier and High Country are above that limit. A heavily loaded 2024 Chevrolet Traverse could cost nearly $70,000.
