2024 Chevrolet Trax Full Review New
The new 2024 Chevrolet Trax is back and it’s still an affordable drive for people, starting at just $21,495 for the base version. Chevy says the next generation of SUVs will be bigger and have more features than you can imagine. Although it has a new body and engine, the Trax is still one of Chevrolet’s entry-level models. The new Trax shares the same base as the revived Trailblazer, and it’s aimed at budget consumers who want a bigger Trailblazer crossover. The upcoming 2024 Chevrolet Trax will reportedly have a new 1.2-liter turbocharged I3 engine in place of the old 1.4-liter four-cylinder.
2024 Chevrolet Trax Design, dimensions and shape
In retrospect, the Trax has been smaller than the Trailblazer. However, the 2024 model is surprisingly larger than the Trailblazer. The old Trax was 167.6 inches long, while the new one is now 11 inches longer, measuring 173.5 inches long. The design has also been improved. The Trax’s iconic grille is now surrounded by clean horizontal lines that show the width of the vehicle and LED lighting similar to that of the Blazer. Chevrolet’s signature high-eye LED daytime running lights make the 2024 Chevrolet Trax more visible at any time of the day or night. Depending on the model, each trim has a different look, such as a different grille and wheels.
For example, the LS and LT offer contemporary styling. The LT has standard 17-inch aluminum wheels, while the LS has 17-inch steel wheels. The Trax’s sportiest design can be seen on the RS trim. This version makes this SUV even sportier thanks to additional exterior details. It includes a unique grille with an inlaid RS badge. An 18-inch machine-faced aluminum wheel is also standard on the 1RS grade, while 19-inch machine-faced aluminum wheels are standard on the 2RS grade. The new ACTIV Lids are the best choice. It features an aggressive rear skid plate and monochrome design with titanium chrome accents. In addition, it features stunning 18-inch black wheels.
2024 Chevrolet Trax More comfortable interior
The 2024 Chevrolet Trax has a lot of high-quality materials and new technology inside. LS and 1RS models come with an 8-inch multimedia screen on the dash, while more expensive Trax models come with an 11-inch screen and an 8-inch digital driver information cluster.
Chevy engineers took advantage of the added length by widening the Trax’s wheelbase by nearly six inches over the previous design. With a longer wheelbase, the 2024 Chevrolet Trax should be more stable at high speeds. Since it is larger, it can hold more people and more things. Second-row passengers get 3 inches of additional legroom and 12 percent more cargo space.

2024 Chevrolet Trax powertrain specifications
The new 2024 Chevrolet Trax features a 1.2-liter turbocharged three-cylinder engine instead of the older 1.4-liter four-cylinder engine. With the six-speed automatic transmission that comes with the Trax trim level, this 1.2-liter, three-cylinder engine sends 137 horsepower and 162 pound-feet of torque to the front wheels.
That’s significantly less horsepower than the current-generation Trax, which has 155 horsepower and 177 pound-feet of torque. The answer to why the Trailblazer didn’t have a continuously variable transmission (CVT) or all-wheel drive is that it would have cost too much. Also Read: 2024 Chevrolet Equinox EV Full Review New
