Despite the news that the 2024 Dodge Charger will be an all-new electric car (meaning it won’t come as a petrol engine anymore), there’s some exciting news to expect about the muscle ride. So what can you expect?

2024 Dodge Charger next architecture

Dodge said that the new 2024 Dodge Charger and Challenger will be converted to electric vehicles and the new ones will come with a large STLA platform. This architecture is inspired by the Alfa Romeo platform used by Stelvio and Giulia. Stellantis has modified the architecture to accommodate mHEV (mild hybrid), PHEV (plug hybrid), and BEV (battery electric) options. It also means that the muscular riding duo will maintain the drivetrain on all wheels and rear wheels.

2024 Dodge Charger First electric ride

Dodge will reveal a pure electric motor for 4 months – 5 months will be the last. It should take place in the first quarter (of 2022), but no later than the second quarter. Dodge promises it will be a testable, drivable, high-quality concept car. To show how seriously Dodge takes its electricity supply, they will apply for patents (for the electric). Upon completion, they will use the concept of riding to show the market: It is entirely possible to redefine the sport of American muscle riding with electric power.

If they can pull it off, it will be Dodge‘s first fully electric motor. It is part of Stellantis, the group of automakers that resulted from the merger of PSA Group and Fiat Chrysler Automobiles. Dodge will use one (of 4 special and unique BEV platforms) for its products. It’ll use the STLA Large muscle ride, which is supposed to be able to cover 500 miles on just one charge. However, Kuniskis doesn’t say whether the electric ride will be the fastest (muscular) ride ever produced.

2024 Dodge Charger plug-in hybrid

Aside from the all-electric muscle ride, Dodge will also be producing a new hybrid, which will be brand new. This model is already set to enter production by the end of 2022. The fact that it will be a new ride has eliminated long-standing speculation about the PHEV as a feature of the Durango SUV. It really makes sense, because the 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee (a cousin of the Durango) will add the plug-in hybrid 4xe in early 2022. However, the fifth-generation Jeep Grand Cherokee is switching over to a new platform, yet the Durango hasn’t followed suit. The Durango seems to be sticking with the old Jeep version.

All in all, rumors about the new Durango, which is suspected of being part of Dodge‘s lineup of high-performance muscle-riding, are incorrect. We just have to wait for the second squad to replace both the 2024 Dodge Charger and the Challenger.

2024 Dodge Charger The third new model

Therefore, Dodge plans to produce the all-electric vehicle and plug-in hybrid system, but they are still planning a third model. There are no details about the new third car, other than that it is a very important ride. What type it is and what power it uses is still a mystery, so we can only wait.

2024 Dodge Charger Powertrain and performance

Both the Challenger and the Charger will be the most powerful and fastest muscular ride ever, though Dodge hasn’t given details about the drivetrain or any plan they have. It is very likely that both the Challenger and the Charger will be powered by a 3.0-liter six-cylinder turbo engine, which has been tried and developed for many years.
