2024 GMC 2500 Interior Update

2024 GMC 2500 Interior. The Sierra HD has been upgraded for the 2024 model year. The full-size truck now features a redesigned appearance, upgraded inside materials, and a revised transmission. The enhanced power output of the 6.6-liter Duramax diesel engine increases its capability. In addition to these improvements, the 2024 GMC Sierra HD gains two new trims: the off-road-capable AT4 and the ultra-luxurious Denali Ultimate. In addition to a few exclusive external elements, the Denali Ultimate elevates the Sierra HD’s interior to a new degree of luxury. Let’s examine more closely what it has to offer.

Inside, the new Sierra HD is substantially more streamlined than its predecessor. Therefore, both in terms of functionality and appearance, it is a major improvement. Better quality materials and additional color choices are only two ways in which the Denali Ultimate package enhances this already impressive feature. More than that, the Alpine Umber interior “reaches new heights of premium elegance and comfort,” as GMC puts it. As an illustration, the Sierra Denali Ultimate features full-grain leather-wrapped door panels and etched stainless steel speaker grilles.

Plus, both the front and back seats are upholstered in the same premium material. The Denali Ultimate trim of the Sierra HD is distinguished by a badge on the front seat backs and the lid of the center console. Plus, the Sierra Denali Ultimate has inserts of open-pore Paldao wood throughout the cabin. The dark stain and distinctive graining of this wood give the truck’s interior a truly one-of-a-kind appearance. In addition, the headliner, visors, and pillar covers are all upholstered in high-quality microsuede. In contrast, the A and B pillar handles have leather coverings.

As with the interior, the exterior of the Sierra Denali Ultimate includes a few unique characteristics that set it apart from the rest of this truck’s lineup. The grille features a unique design, and the GMC emblem is completed in Vader chrome. Exclusive to this specification are 20-inch machined aluminum wheels with glossy-black accents. It also contains an Easter egg on its fender in the form of a badge depicting Mount Denali’s geography.

In addition to higher quality materials, the Sierra Denali Ultimate is distinguished from the SLE and SLT by a number of unique features. The front chairs, for instance, feature a 15-way power adjustment and a messaging function. In addition, it features a 12-speaker Bose sound system with Centerpoint surround technology for the entertainment of the passengers. In addition, there is a 15-inch multicolor head-up display and a sunroof.

In addition to these unique amenities, the Denali Ultimate trim of the 2024 Sierra HD benefits from the truck’s standard features. This update adds a 13.4-inch diagonal touchscreen infotainment system to the Sierra. According to the GMC, this is the segment’s largest screen. Additionally, it features numerous customization possibilities. Additionally, the split-screen technology permits the usage of numerous applications simultaneously.

This infotainment system’s capabilities do not end here. It also includes Google, which facilitates the integration of connected technology. In addition, this unit allows wireless networking via Apple Car Play and Android Auto. The 2024 upgrade also includes a 12.3-inch digital driver’s display. In addition, the 2024 GMC Sierra HD Denali Ultimate includes a MultiPro tailgate with six-way adjustability and a Kicker audio system. In addition, this trim has motorised side steps as standard equipment.

In addition to a variety of exceptional luxury features and personal pleasures, the Sierra Denali Ultimate cabin guarantees to keep its occupants secure. In addition to a variety of passive safety features, such as several airbags, the top-of-the-line version of this truck is equipped with a number of active safety features. Additionally, it is equipped with GMC‘s Pro Safety Suite, which incorporates a number of driver aid technologies.

The interior of the new Sierra Denali Ultimate is significantly superior to those of its competitors thanks to an additional feature. Obviously, it’s not just the 6.6-liter Duramax engine that now generates 470 horsepower and 975 lb-ft of torque. However, the presence of 14 camera perspectives. These become especially useful while towing, which, realistically, is what the majority of Sierra HD owners will be doing. Included among these 14 camera perspectives is hitch guidance with hitch view, which assists in aligning the truck properly when connecting a trailer.

In addition, a bed view with zoom and bed hitch guidance provides a view of the truck’s bed, facilitating a more efficient hitching operation when connecting with a gooseneck or fifth-wheel trailer. In the event that this is insufficient, there is also a rear side view with a trailer length indication that facilitates lane changes by highlighting any obstacles in the path of the trailer.

2024 GMC 2500 Interior News

The 2024 GMC Sierra HD lineup will receive a mid-cycle revamp that includes aesthetic modifications, a redesigned interior, and significant powertrain and capabilities upgrades. As GMC introduced the 2024 Sierra HD in early October, the following GM Authority Live photo gallery does not feature a real-world look at the updated GMC Sierra 2500 HD.

Today’s 2024 GMC Sierra 2500 HD is equipped with the brand-new-for-2024 Denali Ultimate trim and finished in the chameleon-like Titanium Rush Metallic (G6M). This trim level features a unique grille and GMC badging in Vader Chrome up front, standard power assist steps on the sides, and the GMC MultiPro Tailgate in the rear. It has 20-inch Ultra-Bright Machined Aluminum Wheels with Black High-Gloss Accents.

The interior of the Denali Ultimate is furnished with full-grain leather and the Alpine Umber hue. The cockpit has been fully redesigned with a new 13.4-inch touchscreen in the center and a 12.4-inch touchscreen driver information center. In addition, the Denali Ultimate comes standard with a 15-inch Head-Up Display (HUD) with multiple color options.

As a reminder, the 2024 GMC Sierra HD series features numerous improvements over prior model years. In addition to these external modifications, six new exterior colors have been added to the pickup: Titanium Rush Metallic, Sterling Metallic, Volcanic Red Tintcoat, Redwood Metallic, Meteorite Metallic, and Downpour Metallic. The 2024 GMC Sierra HD Denali Ultimate will only be available with one engine option: the 6.6L V8 L5P turbodiesel Duramax engine, which will deliver 470 horsepower and 975 pound-feet of torque, up from 445 horsepower and 910 pound-feet of torque previously.

This engine will be paired with a ten-speed automatic transmission manufactured by Allison. Maximum towing capacities are specified as 21,900 pounds for 2500 HD Crew Cab models and 36,000 pounds for 3500 HD variants. Official pricing information is anticipated closer to the beginning of manufacturing, which is scheduled for the first quarter of 2023.

2024 GMC 2500 Interior Update Review

Following the redesign of the 2023 Ford Super Duty and the introduction of the 2023 Ram 2500 Heavy Duty Rebel, GMC Sierra 2500/3500 pickups are next in line for an update. Two new trims, the Denali Ultimate and AT4X, are designed to boost the truck’s appeal (and price tag): the Denali Ultimate and AT4X. The brand has unveiled its updated 2024 models, which feature minor styling updates, new interiors, upgraded engine power, a host of new trailering features, and two new trims designed to boost the truck’s appeal (and price tag).

The new Sierra HD satisfies the aesthetic expectations of owners of large trucks. Pro, SLE, SLT, AT4, AT4X, Denali, and Denali Ultimate trim levels are included for the 2019 model year, along with updated front ends with new headlights, grilles, bumpers, and trim. As is becoming standard on many new GM cars, a new lighting animation occurs when approaching, starting, or utilizing the turn signals on the truck. There are new wheel designs for the SLE, AT4, and Denali, as well as larger 18-inch polished-aluminum wheels for dual-rear-wheel 3500 versions, and if you’d like, you can even request new 22-inch accessory wheels for added sparkle. In addition, the Sierra HD offers six new exterior color options (at an additional cost): Titanium Rush Metallic, Sterling Metallic, Volcanic Red Tintcoat, Redwood Metallic, Meteorite Metallic, and Downpour Metallic. The Denali and Denali Ultimate dually variants will now include rear wheelhouse liners as standard equipment.

Standard on the 2024 Sierra HD will be a 6.6-liter V-8 engine producing 401 hp and 464 lb-ft of torque. This engine remains largely intact from the 2023 model year, although it is now paired with a standard 10-speed Allison heavy-duty transmission; the previous base 6-speed transmission has been eliminated. This provides the vehicle with four additional forward gears with smaller increments between gears, allowing for more precise control over engine power and speed. The optional Duramax 6.6-liter turbo-diesel V-8 now produces 470 horsepower and 975 pound-feet of torque, an increase from the previous engine’s 445 horsepower and 910 pound-feet of torque. According to the manufacturer, the engine has also been retuned to provide 25% more low-end torque for increased towing capability.

Towing capacity

That towing performance is also set to increase, with GMC now saying the Sierra 2500 2WD crew-cab long bed will be able to tow up to 21,900 pounds via the gooseneck hitch, and the 2500 has a maximum tow rating of 22,500 pounds — an increase of 4,000 pounds over the current 2500 — when configured specifically for the purpose. Want to obtain the greatest towing capability possible? With a gooseneck hitch, the 2017 Sierra 3500 2WD regular-cab long-bed dually can tow 36,000 pounds.

However, not only towing capacity has been enhanced. GMC asserts that it has incorporated a variety of new technologies to the Sierra HD to improve towing comfort and confidence. All of this revolves on GMC‘s ProGrade Trailering System, which the firm claims delivers a variety of advancements, including 14 different camera perspectives and an industry-exclusive Transparent Trailer View for gooseneck and fifth-wheel trailers. Put a camera on the back of the trailer, connect it to the ProGrade system, and technological wizardry will combine the images so that the trailer disappears on the truck’s display panel, allowing you to see behind the trailer while driving.

Hitch guidance with hitch view helps align the hitch ball with the receiver; bed view with zoom and bed hitch guidance assist with hooking up a gooseneck or fifth wheel; and rear side view with trailer length indicator adds a special length indicator in the side camera’s view indicating where the trailer is in relation to surrounding objects. It is an impressive technology that performs some things that the most recent Ford Super Duty cannot, but it falls short in other areas.

There’s also a new trailer side blind zone alert that expands the warning zones surrounding the trailer, and a new alert alerts the driver if the vehicle and trailer weight exceed the Sierra HD’s gross combined weight rating. The latest update to the truck’s adaptive cruise control now allows operation when trailering, as well, taking into consideration the trailer’s weight and drag when in motion.

GMC used the chance to spiff up its top vehicle to remarkable new levels, with new interiors for all trims and enhanced materials quality in the top Denali and AT4. GMC claims that the 13.4-inch touchscreen available on the center console is the largest in its class; it complements the optional 12.4-inch digital instrument cluster. The large display may be adjusted to the user’s liking, and on all trims save the lowest Pro grade, it will run the new Google Built-In software, which has proven problematic on other devices we’ve tested. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto wireless connectivity are standard.

For the 2023 model year, you can add the Denali Ultimate Package to the Denali trim level. However, for the 2024 model year, there is a Denali Ultimate trim level that sits atop the Sierra HD lineup. Unique exterior features include a dark “Vader” chrome grille and badging, 20-inch machined-aluminum wheels with black accents, fender badging that simulates the map topography of Mount Denali, power-assist side steps, and a six-way MultiPro Tailgate with an integrated Kicker audio system.

The interior of the Denali Ultimate features a unique Alpine Umber color scheme, full-grain leather appointments, and genuine paloao wood trim. The door panels, front and rear seats, center console lid, and front- and rear-seat grab grips are leather-wrapped. The 16-way adjustable front seats include massage, and the faux-suede material of the headliner extends down the A- and B-pillar trim, as well as the visors. In addition, the Denali Ultimate will include a 12-speaker Bose premium music system, a rear camera mirror, a 15-inch multicolor head-up display, and a power sunroof as standard equipment.

Much of this equipment will be available on the new AT4X premium off-road trim, which will be a step up from the AT4 model, if you are more interested in off-roading (with late availability).

Pricing and Distribution

We will not have pricing information for the new 2024 GMC Sierra HD until the vehicle goes on sale, which GMC says will occur in early 2023. The AT4X trim level will not be available at launch; according to the manufacturer, it will arrive later in 2023. With the upcoming release of the revised 2023 Ford Super Duty, it appears that 2019 will be a busy year for analyzing upgraded large pickups.
