The manufacturer said it will be the brand’s third electric vehicle, after the GMC Hummer EV Truck and the GMC Hummer SUV. Interestingly enough, the automaker never discussed the Silverado EV.
There should be a lot of differences between the upcoming GMC Sierra EV and Hummer EV. As a full-size pickup, it could rival the Ford F-150 Lightning, but it would also be more budget-friendly and action-oriented than the Hummer.

The new 2024 GMC Sierra HD AT4 Denali comes with two powertrain options. We get a 6.6-liter V8 petrol engine that can produce 401 horsepower and 464 pound-feet of torque. This is more than enough to haul and move the heaviest load.
The other engine is a 6.6-liter turbocharged V8 diesel that makes 445 horsepower and 910 pound-feet of torque. The maximum towing capacity is 36000 pounds. There are no diameter specs, but we’re sure they’ll be good numbers. There is a choice between a 6- to 10-speed automatic transmission.
The AT4 features a locking rear differential with a two-speed transfer case and GMC direct-wheel drive. There is still no news about a hybrid or EV variant of the 2024 GMC Sierra HD AT4 Denali. But we doubt we won’t see those, simply because the EV isn’t about towing and towing like the biggest trucks.
