2024 GMC Yukon, Denali Ultimate Full Review New

General Motors will introduce the 2024 GMC Yukon next year, model in six generations of the company’s full-size SUV. The first images of a prototype of the vehicle undergoing public testing have been released and show the SUV in heavy camouflage. However, we’ve seen some changes and the redesigned 2024 GMC Yukon will include a new roof fin antenna shape.

Other updates also include a new front and rear fascia design, as well as the introduction of new self-driving features through the GM Ultra Cruise system. In 95 percent of driving scenarios, this system will outperform the current GM Super Cruise system in terms of capabilities and true hands-free driving.

The 2024 GMC Yukon looks more attractive than before, despite its imposing dimensions. It has a stylish design that looks durable and high quality. While the Denali models look more luxurious, the AT4 has an off-road stance thanks to a redesigned front fascia that offers better approach angle.

The new Denali Ultimate Edition is the most expensive model equipped with distinctive aesthetics such as a dark “Feeder Chrome” finish and 22-inch custom wheels. It’s also worth noting that this model is available with a choice of two different wheelbase lengths, just like the Ford Expedition. There’s the Yukon, which has a regular-length wheelbase, and there’s also the Yukon XL, which has a wheelbase six inches longer.

The 2024 GMC Yukon’s spacious interior features three rows of seats, providing ample legroom and luggage space. If this is not enough for you, the manufacturer also offers an XL model with a long wheelbase, which provides more interior space. The more seats you fold, the more you can load.

Seating for up to eight people is typical in the Yukon. That number can go up to nine if you choose the front-seat option, or it can go down to seven if you choose the second-row captain’s seats. The infotainment system’s 10.2-inch screen is standard, as is wireless support for both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. There’s also a digital instrument panel with a 12-inch display, SiriusXM radio reception, and six USB ports.

2024 GMC Yukon safety

Every 2024 GMC Yukon is equipped with the GMC Pro Safety Package as standard safety technology. This suite has a long list of features, such as lane keep assist and lane departure warning, automatic high beams with IntelliBeam, forward collision alert, following distance indicator, and automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection.

The engine that comes standard with the new 2024 GMC Yukon is a proven 5.3-liter V8 making 355 horsepower and 383 pound-feet of torque.

On the other hand, the AT4 is available with a more powerful 6.2-liter V8, which comes standard on Denali, the most expensive trim level. Using premium 91 octane fuel, this model is rated at 420 horsepower and has 460 lb-ft of torque. Finally, there’s an optional diesel inline-six that makes 277 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque. Unlike other versions, it comes with improved efficiency. All models use a 10-speed automatic transmission with rear-wheel drive (RWD), except for the AT4, which offers all-wheel drive (4WD) as standard.

The base 2024 GMC Yukon, which comes with rear-wheel drive, has a Manufacturer Retail Price (MSRP) of $51,500. This price does not include destination surcharges. Pricing for the all-wheel-drive Denali XL starts at $75,200, and final price with some additions could approach $82,000.

Chevrolet Tahoe is in the same line as Toyota Sequoia and Nissan Armada. On the other hand, the Ford Expedition starts with a base price of $53,000. Based on current information, the new model will go on sale sometime next year, possibly in the second half.

The 2024 GMC Yukon Denali Ultimate will be a nice SUV with many luxurious amenities. It has a dark chrome plated exterior. This would be a welcome look for those who prefer their luxury to be subtle and indirect.

It also gets 22-inch wheels with seven bars. The engine is a 6.2 liter V8. It is connected to a 10-speed automatic transmission. You can also upgrade to a 3.0-liter diesel engine. Inside, there are 16-way electric front seats for both the driver and passenger – these seats are also equipped with a massage function. In addition, there are speakers in the headrests, which seem very comfortable to stay awake.

The three rows of seats are upholstered in richer leather with woven seams, and the front seat is adjustable in 16 positions and equipped with a massage function. The dashboard features Paldao wood inlays with an engraved topographic map of Mount Denali, which bounces off the seat backs. The 2024 GMC Yukon Denali Ultimate is also packed with features. There’s a new Bose 18-speaker audio system with speakers in the headrest and an optional Rear Seat Entertainment Package that connects the screen to the rear of the front seats. But the real feature is the optional Super Cruise driver assistance technology, which includes automatic lane changes and towing settings.

2024 GMC Yukon Denali Ultimate packs in an abundance of visual flair and excitement that we’re about to get. But it also hides a technical surprise in the form of the available Super Cruise driver assistance technology, which allows for automatic hands-free lane change and hands-free towing.

This is the first GMC SUV to receive a Super Cruise. This feature is scheduled for late availability. Other 2021 and 2022 GM vehicles with Super Cruise technology include the following models: Cadillac CT4, CT5, and Escalade; Chevy Bolt EUV and Silverado; The GMC Sierra and Hummer EV. By 2023, it will be available in 22 vehicles.

The interior finish is a combination of brushed aluminum and elegant open-breathed Paldao wood grain. The topographic map of Mount Denali is laser engraved into the wooden glove box. The front gets 16 stimulating directions for heating and ventilation. The Denali Ultimate metal backrest badge (more) features a laser-engraved topographic map of Mount Denali, the highest peak in North America.

The audio system is a Bose Performance Series 18-speaker setup, and the door speaker grilles and headrests are made of stainless steel. A premium floor mat with metallic edges bearing the GMC logo is located on the Denali’s door sill.

On the outside, the 2024 GMC Yukon Denali Ultimate is stunning, with plenty of bright chrome and contrast accents. It’s all in the details: GMC-exclusive Chrome Vader (grill, fender vents, front accents), satin chrome along the window and door panels and GMC Dark Chrome decal. The wheels are a unique 22-inch seven-spoke unit with chrome accents that contrast with the dark paint.

2024 GMC Yukon Denali Ultimate comes with an optional 6.2-liter V8 or 3.0-liter Duramax turbo diesel, with both engines mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission. Magnetic dampers and air suspensions are standard. Once again, the Yukon Denali Ultimate comes standard with a 6.2-liter V8, but can be selected with a 3.0-liter Duramax diesel.

It comes with all the extras for on-road (and light off-road) comfort: standard Magnetic Ride Control, standard Adaptive Ride-On suspension, standard Active All-Wheel Drive with electronic differential lock and a two-speed automatic transmission.

We don’t have official pricing yet, but the Sierra 1500 truck version of the 2024 GMC Yukon Denali Ultimate starts north of $80,000. GMC hasn’t released pricing yet, but given its pickup truck sister, the Sierra Denali Ultimate, has a $20,000 premium over the standard Sierra Denali, we expect the Yukon Denali Ultimate to come in at roughly $92,000.
