2024 Honda Clarity. The Honda Clarity 2024 will reportedly be revised the following year. Honda unveiled its global electrification goals in April, with a focus on battery electric and fuel cell electric vehicles. The 2024 model is highlighted in Honda literature, therefore we can anticipate that it will have more attractive styling than the current model. Either a fuel cell or a plug-in hybrid version of the new Clarity will be offered.
Several rumors indicate that it will contain a lot of upgrades. Overall, we expect it to come with a softer exterior and have higher-quality materials and technology. Moreover, many believe that this will be the last release of Clarity.
2024 Honda Clarity Redesign
The new 2024 Honda Clarity upgrade will be seen, and a look ahead. However, the design of this mid-size sedan is a bit polarizing. We think the new Toyota Mirai in the same class looks slimmer. However, unlike the above, Clarity’s design includes a series of sharp creases and rounded edges. Overall, a compact rear wheel rim and plenty of black plastic make the Clarity stand out from the crowd.
Most of the styling cues we’ve seen on other Honda models, but the handling used on the Clarity makes it even more distinct. The front end looks familiar, along with elongated LED headlights and giant boom-shaped daytime driving. The Clarity still uses the same tilted rear glass, giving the look of a sedan hatchback.
2024 Honda Clarity Interior Rumors
Whichever model you choose, PHEV or fuel cell, they both share the same spacious interior. As mentioned, the Honda Clarity 2024 is a mid-size sedan with a five-passenger cabin and excellent head and legroom in the front and rear. The interior is modern, and we love the elegant woodwork and the soft leather and suede seats on the dashboard.
With the release of the current generation, Honda has replaced the traditional shift lever with a row of buttons, which is a much better solution. The manufacturer obviously saves space on the center console, and it looks great too. Cargo space in the Clarity Plug-in Hybrid is approximately 15.5 cubic feet, while the fuel cell storage tank reduces luggage space to just 11.8 cubic feet.
Powertrain Specification Performance
The Honda Clarity PHEV is a relatively powerful mid-size sedan backed by an excellent delivery system. This model combines a combustion engine and a battery with a power of 17 kWh, which produces 212 hp. As you can see, the engine is powerful for that front, and delivers zero-emissions driving for up to 50 miles. This is by far one of the longest range EVs in its class. In addition to this engine, the manufacturer also offers fuel cell models. It uses a fuel cell that drives an electric motor, converting hydrogen into electricity. Thanks to him, this model gets instant acceleration with zero emissions and a power of 174 hp.
2024 Honda Clarity Release date
We can expect the new 2024 Honda Clarity to debut sometime next year with plenty of improvements inside and out. The Hybrid Plug-in currently has a manufacturer suggested retail price of $34,995, and we can expect the new price to be in the same range. However, the Touring version starts at $37.595, while the Clarity Fuel Cell starts at $59,485. Compared to the prices, the Clarity PHEV is more than $6,000 higher than the Toyota Prius Prime and Hyundai Ioniq. However, it still cuts the Toyota Mirai by about $10,000.
After discontinuing the Clarity EV last year, Honda recently revealed that it’s working on an updated fuel cell and plug-in hybrid model for 2022. The Honda Clarity 2022 mid-range family sedan will bring some minor updates in terms of its looks, and we should expect a more modern cabin. In general, the fuel efficiency of the Clarity is impeccable. Powered by a hybrid system, it delivers up to 48 miles of driving on electric alone, which is excellent. However, if you live in California, you can get a hydrogen fuel cell model and get a $15,000 credit on fuel. According to Honda, a fully charged hydrogen fuel cell model can travel 360 miles.
Redesign Honda Clarity 2022
Finally, the new 2022 Honda Clarity adopts a contemporary style, giving it a more futuristic look. As you can see, the new sedan looks fresh, and still includes a unique set of angles, curves and details that make it unique. Depending on the cut selected, the design will vary, but not significantly. However, both PHEV and Fuel Cell models offer aluminum alloy wheels, an attractive rear roof and an unusual rear shape. In general, the design is striking, and the design is reminiscent of other recent Honda models. In general, the front, thanks to the massive handling of the boom-shaped headlights, dominates.
The upcoming 2022 Honda Clarity will retain the same modern cabin. Of course, Honda will add more premium materials and some new technology. Compared to the Accord, the Clarity has a much shorter wheelbase. This means we can expect about four inches less legroom. Luggage capacity is 12 cubic feet in fuel cell cars, while about 16 cubic feet can be found in plug-in hybrid models.
As before, we should expect the same 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment interface as standard, including Apple CarPlay and Android Auto capabilities. However, there are more options offered by the Touring version such as factory navigation, a better audio system and greater driving assistance technology.

The 2022 Honda Clarity Offers Two Engine Options
As mentioned, the Clarity EV is gone, and the new model should be offered with plug-ins or a hybrid fuel cell system. The Clarity plug-in hybrid is powered by a 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine producing 181 horsepower paired with an electric motor and a 17.0 kWh lithium-ion battery. Combined, these models deliver a power of 212 horsepower. It also goes from 0 to 60 mph in 7.7 seconds. The EPA currently estimates Clarity Hybrids to have 340 miles when using gas and electric power sources.
For the hydrogen-powered Clarity, this model features a 174-horsepower electric motor that draws electricity from the fuel cell. Unlike the PHEV, the hydrogen-powered sedan is capable of sprinting 60 mph in 8.1 seconds, providing a range of up to 360 miles.
Price And Release Date
The new Honda Clarity 2022, apart from a minor exterior update, will also offer more features inside. This sedan is unique and available as a PHEV or hydrogen-powered sedan. It starts at less than $35,000 for the base model, and can go up to 45,000 fully loaded. According to Honda, both versions will be presented in the second half of next year.
