Everyone is raving about the (alleged) promising 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee, although the company hasn’t said much about it yet. But there was a rendering of the Grand Cherokee L Trackhawk and the concept car looked promising and powerful. If it’s true that Jeep is adding the Trackhawk to its lines, a seven-seater ride could offer something promising and well. At least it will be something that will not disappoint at all.
2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee Up coming
Jeep hasn’t said much about its upcoming productions, especially after the 2023 model. However, they revealed that their Grand Cherokee comes with electric power. Yes, you heard it right: Jeep‘s flagship will be electrified. It will be launched from 2022 with the two-row Grand Cherokee that comes with plug-in hybrid electric in variants. It will be launched in the US auto market. The Grand Cherokee 4xe will join the lineup, while the electric Renegade and Compass will launch in Europe.
According to Christian Meunier, CEO, this is part of their zero-emissions plan where they will introduce fully electric cars into the SUV segment by 2025. The plug-in hybrid ride system was introduced after Stellaantis (Jeep‘s parent company) Dodge muscle Ride and RAM 1500 for the electric version of the small battery in 2024. The company pledged 30 billion euros in electricity-related investments in the middle of the decade.

2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee Future electrical alternative plan
It is safe to say that this will be the beginning of the fifth generation of the Grand Cherokee. The Grand Cherokee (with its two-row arrangement) shares architecture with the Grand Cherokee L (the three-row arrangement). The Grand Cherokee L is scheduled to launch sometime this year. Both will be manufactured at the new assembly complex in Detroit.
2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee Powertrain and performance
The Grand Cherokee 4xe will be powered by two motors (electric) and a 400-volt battery pack. They will be placed underground and then protected by powerful guards. It also comes with a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission. The setup is capable of generating 375 hp and 470 Nm of torque, along with a towing capacity of 6000 lb-ft.
In terms of performance (and range), the 4xe can travel 25 all-electric miles and also (rated) 57 mpg (or mpg equivalent). Jeep applies advanced technology with regenerative braking to enhance (or maintain) charging.

Meanwhile, the regular 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee comes with two engines. Standard will be a V6 Penstar with a displacement of 3.6 liters, which can produce 293 horsepower and 260 Nm of torque. Another is a 5.7-liter V8 that generates 357 horsepower and 390 Nm of torque. The V6 has 6,200 lb-ft of towing, while the V8 can handle 7,200 lb-ft. Aside from the powerful lineup of engines, the 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee will also come with advanced safety features that make the ride not only comfortable, but also safe.
2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee Release date and price
The Cherokee should be available in North America soon. The 2022 model was released in 2021, so the 2024 is supposed to be available sometime in 2023. The SUV is slated to appear after the regular Grand Cherokee, so it’s unclear if it will be in the same year as 2023 or In early 2024. Not to mention the price and launch date.
