New spyshot footage is available from the 2024 Lamborghini Urus and the prototype wears almost no camouflage clothing. Thanks to that, we have a clear look at the new front end that looks more aggressive than before. Despite the ongoing pandemic, Lamborghini managed to sell about 8,405 cars last year, while the Urus owns nearly 60% of that number.
In addition to the exterior upgrades, the upcoming model will likely include some interior tweaks, including better materials and technology. As for the engine, like the current model, the new one comes exclusively with a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 that develops 641 hp.
2024 Lamborghini Urus Redesign
The new footage reveals some modifications to the 2024 Lamborghini Urus. The prototype wears almost no camouflage equipment, allowing us to see some changes in the front. It looks like the Lamborghini Urus now comes with some extra vents on the outer edges. These openings are known as air curtains, which allow more air to flow around the sides of the vehicle.
The Spy model also comes with a new hood with its own vents to improve engine cooling. Anyway, we were also able to see some changes in the rear, and the Urus appears to be more aggressive. It features attractive taillights with better graphics and a new exhaust system.
2024 Lamborghini Urus cabin upgrades
Just like the exterior design, the interior of the 2024 Lamborghini Urus will also undergo some modifications. First of all, the fighter jet design has been kept, with plenty of synthetic suede and carbon fiber. The Urus also offers 22 cubic feet of cargo space, which is reduced by 2 cubic feet when the optional rear seats are installed.
As for technology, the new model comes with a large infotainment system and reconfigurable gauges, as on the Audi models. In addition to the fully digital instrument panel, this SUV also has two touch screens integrated into the center console. Both displays have sharp graphics and support Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, SiriusXM, HD Radio, navigation, and a 10-speaker audio system.
The updated Urus 2023 weighs less than 2,200 kg in the previous model. The Urus Evo will be introduced as a hybrid in 2024 before being converted to an all-electric model. As the Urus has proven to be Lamborghini‘s best-selling model over the past three years, it makes sense to electrify the model to keep it ahead of the curve for years to come. In addition, fully using electricity and adhering to strict emissions regulations will make it more attractive to more buyers.
Under the hood, the 2024 Lamborghini Urus will likely be powered by the same engine. Overall, no changes are needed at all, as the 4.0-liter twin-turbo V-8 is one of the fiercest machines in its class. This model produces 641 horsepower and competes with the 707 horsepower Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk.
Additionally, it comes standard with all-wheel drive and an eight-speed automatic transmission. In case you didn’t know, the Urus can sprint from 0 to 60 mph in 3.1 seconds. Likewise, this model loves to drink and is EPA rated at 12 mpg in the city and 17 mpg on the highway.
