A 2024 Ram Dakota has been confirmed, with the Ram moving as scheduled. The upcoming Dakota is said to be a mid-size pickup truck running on a 3.6-liter V6 Pentastar unit. This is the same power as the Ram 1500. If you take cues from the 1500, you can expect the Dakota to look good looking and bold. Not to mention, you can also expect a better, more upgraded interior for the upcoming Dakota.
2024 Ram Dakota Next Manufacturing Plan
The midsize pickup truck segment is quite competitive, but Ram doesn’t seem to be bothered by that. They even resurrect the nameplate Dakota, who gave birth to two generations from 1997 to 2011. However, Ram is no idiot. They understand that this sector is tough and competitive, so they seek inspiration (related to components and platforms) from Jeep, their sister company. Jeep produced the Jeep Gladiator, which is a pickup truck version of the Wrangler. Ram will learn from it, while making his own modifications, so 2024 Ram Dakota will retain some of her signature style and unique design.

2024 Ram Dakota Powertarain and performance
Given that the Dakota will be using the same platform as the Gladiator, you can expect a similar powertrain. The Dakota will likely run on a 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 engine, which is also used not only in the Jeep Wrangler, but also in the Grand Cherokee, Gladiator, Ram 1500, as well as the Chrysler 300. However, there are rumors that the 2024 Ram Dakota may get another option for an Ecodiesel unit. With a volume of 3.0 liters (taken from the Gladiator), but it has not yet been confirmed. The V6 Pentastar unit is capable of generating 285 hp and 260 Nm of torque.
2024 Ram Dakota Exterior Design
In terms of appearance, the Dakota will be similar to the new Ram 1500, but in a smaller version. Although it’s unclear how many trim levels are offered for the Dakota, many car enthusiasts are hoping to see the Big Horn, Laramie, SLT, Tradesmen and Limited. If they’re lucky, it would be great if they had the off-road-focused Renegade too.
Expect the 2024 Ram Dakota to be stylish and good looking, with sharp-looking headlights and a large grille. Hopefully the Dakota will come with a crew cab and extended cockpit as well, considering that Ram rivals (such as the GMC Canyon, Chevy Colorado, Toyota Tacoma and Ford Ranger) offer these two models.

2024 Ram Dakota Release date and price
Given that the Ram Dakota will be sold as a 2024 model, expect the release date to occur in 2023. If it is delayed or delayed, it could happen in early 2024 but the chance is very slim. It looks like everything will be ready in 2023 including the sale.
For the price range, the price tag will not deviate much from the current price. After all, the company wants to remain affordable and inexpensive. Expect to start at around $26,000 while competitors have set the price between $25,000 and $28,000. But this price range is still just an expectation, as we haven’t heard more from the company about the upcoming 2024 Ram Dakota.
