Land Rover seems so confident in the new 2024 Range Rover Sport that the real-world testing phase is good enough. Therefore, prototypes were spotted on public roads, especially in Germany and Great Britain, and since the previous year. The Range Rover Sport is likely to arrive a year after the launch of the Range Rover 2022, which means it will take place in the second half of 2022. So, what do you expect from it?
2024 Range Rover Sport Exterior Design
From several mule prototypes, it can be safely concluded that the 2024 Range Rover Sport will share similar features and architecture to the Range Rover. The company seems to keep its distinctive design and overall proportions. Many have stated that the upcoming Range Rover Sport will be the SVR Sport line.
At the front, the car will have a slightly curvy headlight. It may be the new design (although far from the design style of the Range Rover), but it may just be a camouflage to hide the real headlights. The Grid and Frame entries are similar to the larger type. And there are short arms, a clear sign that it’s a Range Rover Sport.

On the outside, the quad exhaust pipes are a fairing you might look for in an SVR. There are also tapered D-pillars reminiscent of the SV Coupé, which did not go into mass production.
2024 Range Rover Sport Interior
The company says the biggest changes are taking place within the 2024 Range Rover Sport, although it’s not clear so far. Expect to find some classic SUV stuff like headlights, thicker dashboard, four-spoke steering, and more. One of the available prototypes had a large central screen, perhaps the Pivi Pro Ranger Rover infotainment system (with 13.1 inches) that you can find in a 2022 Range Rover.

2024 Range Rover Sport Powertrain and performance
The new 2024 Range Rover Sport will be built with a new modular longitudinal architecture platform that supports full electrification. Not to mention the 2024 Range Rover EV has been confirmed, which means you can expect a Range Rover EV to be available in a year or even two years.
The 2022 model will be offered with a variety of electric power ratings, with several potentially included in the 2023 Range Rover as well. One will be a 3.0-liter six-cylinder gas and diesel engine with hybrid (mild) options and also compact hybrid options. The plug-in hybrid could come with a 31.8 kWh package, allowing it to cover 100 kilometers (or 62 miles) in pure electric mode. The 3.0-liter ingenium gas engine will be combined with an electric output of 105 kW.
Autocar reports that the high-end SVR model may use a BMW-inspired 4.4-liter V8. The engine was used in the BMW XM concept (which took place in 2021) and it supported the plug-in hybrid system.
So, how about a Range Rover Sport EV? Predictions are that it will likely borrow design cues from the i7 EV system (again, from Beemer). Land Rover and the BMW Group have already set up joint projects to develop new generation EDUs or electric drive units. The EDU consists of the transmission, EV drive, and power electronics in one housing. More details are not known yet, but we can expect more releases.
2024 Range Rover Sport Release date and price
If all goes as planned, the new 2024 Range Rover Sport should be ready in the second half of 2022, which means it will happen soon enough. The price is not yet known. We should know more about 2024 Range Rover Sport once the company finishes a new release.
