This year’s 2024 Subaru Impreza, which comes in sedan and hatchback versions, has not changed. Nothing has changed except for the new exterior color and the removal of the sedan’s limited trim. 2024 Subaru Impreza Redesigned
The Impreza’s exterior design isn’t as surprising as the WRX STI, but it’s attractive nonetheless. The Sport replaces the base model’s 16-inch steel wheels with 18-inch alloy wheels. Halogen headlights are the most common, as LED units with directional sensitive technology and limited gradation are being phased out. Tilt and sunroof control are optional on most variants. Sapphire Blue Pearl, a new color for 2024, is one of seven exterior colors.
The 2024 Subaru Impreza is a small sedan with dimensions similar to the Honda Civic sedan. The Impreza measures 182.7 inches long, 70 inches wide and 57.3 inches high. The Japanese sedan weighs in at 2,976 pounds for the base model, 3,084 pounds for the Premium and 3,142 pounds for the Sport.

2024 Subaru Impreza interior
The interior of the 2024 Subaru Impreza remains the same as on the previous model. This results in a comfortable and well-built interior with plenty of storage space and ergonomically placed controls. Subaru appears to have borrowed styling cues from Legacy for the interior, which it appears to have been inspired by. There is a mixture of soft-touch and hard-to-touch materials on the dashboard and throughout the cabin, the latter making up the majority. However, we will not complain in this segment and in this price range. 4.2-inch digital display with analog gauges on the left and infotainment screen in the middle, surrounded by AC vents.
The instrument panel is well lit and visible, even in bright sunlight. The seats are well padded and supportive, and the upholstery is of good quality. There’s plenty of legroom and height in both rows and extra storage space. On higher trim levels, leather-trimmed seats with a heated front seat function are available. Although the Impreza has just 12.3 cubic feet of cargo space, it can hold your daily cargo and a few pieces of carry-on baggage if you’re traveling on a weekend trip.
2024 Subaru Impreza engine
The 2024 Subaru Impreza’s sluggish 2.0-liter naturally aspirated flat-4 engine produces 152 horsepower and 145 pound-feet of torque. All Imprezas come with all-wheel drive and the engine is mated to a five-speed manual transmission or CVT transmission. This engine has low power and moderate acceleration. It is the slowest car in its class to drive, and it takes a lot of effort to get acceptable performance. Even worse are the transmission options, where the transmission is off and the manual is not suitable.
Despite its flaws, the Impreza excels in ride and handling. The 2024 Subaru Impreza accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in under nine seconds, then takes another eight seconds to cover the quarter mile, making it the slowest vehicle in its class. On the other hand, the steering is fast and accurate. If you hit the Impreza through corners at high speeds, it won’t be disturbed. Another area in which the Impreza excels is braking, as it comes to a complete stop in a fraction of the time it takes for comparable sedans in its class.

2024 Subaru Impreza price and release date
Subaru Impreza starts at $18,795, but adds $1,300 for the CVT transmission. The Premium Sedan starts at $22195 and the Sport starts at $23,595. When fully equipped, the Sport can cost upwards of $35,000. The base price does not include taxes, registration, or $960 destination fees.
