2024 Volvo XC90. Volvo makes some of the most advanced and sophisticated vehicles on the road today. The brand focuses on interior comfort and passenger safety, but also supplies its models with efficient and powerful engines. SUVs are also in the spotlight for the brand, and the recently redesigned XC60 and all-new XC40 are getting the attention of buyers who don’t need third-row seats and a large payload. The second generation of the 2024 Volvo XC90 arrived in model year 2024 and was the first in the range to adopt the brand’s scalable product architecture and the latest design language. For the 2024 Volvo XC90, the model should mark the last year for the second-generation model, and the 2022 model should be all-new. The 2024 XC-90 should remain virtually identical to the 2024 model and Volvo should mix with equipment availability.
On the other hand, the third-generation XC-90 should switch to an upgraded SPA platform and rely solely on an electrified powertrain when the all-electric version is available. The design changes are likely to be evolutionary, but the redesigned XC90 should offer Level 4 autonomous driving technology, allowing transportation from point A to B without human intervention. 2024 Volvo XC90 Design
The current generation of the 2024 Volvo XC90 attracts attention with its streamlined design and distinctive design elements. The Thor Hummer headlights make any Volvo instantly recognizable, as do the unique vertical taillights that extend from the center of the tailgate above the rear pillar to the roof-mounted spoiler. The brushed grille with the large Volvo logo in the center is also part of the model’s identity.
As for the design changes, the 2024 Volvo XC90 remains identical to the slightly updated 2024 version. Volvo is likely to introduce a new package with a unique manicure and new color options. The third generation is also expected to come with evolutionary stray changes, while it should be based on an improved SPA 2 architecture with weight saving benefits and improved electrification capabilities.
2024 Volvo XC90 engine
The 2024 Volvo XC90 will have to continue to rely on the same powertrain options as the current version, while the all-new 2022 model will have to do away with only internal combustion engine options and implement some form of electrification in all versions including the battery powered version.
The T5 version combines a 2.0-liter turbo engine and an 8-speed automatic transmission with front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive. This version delivers 250 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque with a combined fuel economy of about 24 mpg.
The T6’s turbocharged, 2.0-liter, supercharged engine will increase performance to 316 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque. All-wheel drive will be standard on this version with a combined fuel economy of about 22 mpg.
The plug-in T8 eAWD plug-in hybrid will use the same ultra-high-end, turbocharged engine as the T6, but with the 87-hp electric motor with a combined output of 400 hp and 472 lb-ft. The T8 delivers 58 mpg, including electric and gas engine capabilities. The all-electric range would be about 18 miles.
2024 Volvo XC90 Interior and equipment
The interior of the mid-size 2024 Volvo XC90 combines simplicity and elegance with first-class materials and supportive seats. The model also offers a class-leading payload with up to 66 cubic feet. Every XC-90 will also come with a large center touch screen and state-of-the-art infotainment features. In the higher trims, the model gets a 12.3-inch digital instrument panel.
Each version will also include keyless entry and ignition, power tailgate, power adjustable front seats, four-zone automatic climate control, parking sensors, etc. Standard safety equipment also includes adaptive cruise control, lane assist, blind spot monitoring with rear crossover warning, etc.
Higher ranks will add more premium features such as leather upholstery, heated and ventilated seats, massage function, heated steering wheel, larger wheels, unique touches, etc.

2024 Volvo XC90 Price
The 2024 Volvo XC90 will be launched in late 2024. The price range should start again around $48,000. The new generation XC-90 should appear in 2024 as the 2023 model.
