2024 Nissan Z, Coupe Sport Full Review New

The 2024 Nissan Z is one of the latest in a disappearing series of aspirated cars, likely linked to Nissan Z’s steadfast commitment to classic cars, or some would say an unrefined mindset. As a result, the Nissan Z has remained relatively unchanged. In the year of the Z-50’s anniversary, the small two-door coupe saw few changes, despite being on the market for more than ten years.

While this relentless mindset makes the Nissan Z highly desirable, it is well past its sell-by date and its era is inevitable. It was especially compared to contemporary competitors in the class, such as the Toyota GR Supra. However, the Z features a boosted version of Nissan‘s regular Z 3.7-liter V6, which delivers 350 horsepower and 276 pound-feet of torque to the rear wheels via either a six-speed manual transmission or an available seven-speed automatic transmission.

2024 Nissan Z redesign

While the 50th Anniversary Edition trim level has been added to the base Z Coupe lineup, based on the 2024 Nissan Z Sport trim, the Z Coupe remains unchanged for the new year. More than a decade later, it’s time to either bury the Z Coupé next to its traditional Z Roadster cousin or make a much-needed major overhaul.

While competitors are taking advantage of advanced technology, advanced manufacturing methods and current features, Z is misusing Z Tent. Bi-Xenon HID headlights and LED daytime running lights are covered in black arrowhead headlights and adorn the deeply sculpted aluminum front fascia, further enhanced by a fully integrated chin spoiler with signature red striped accents extending to the unique door sill guards. LED-lit side Z badges adorn the side fenders, while 19-inch RAYS forged-aluminum wheels fill the wheel arches.

2024 Nissan Z interior

The Z age is evident immediately upon entering the cab; Like a car that has received little attention since its debut in 2009, the cockpit mimics a commercial airliner, with a variety of gauges, knobs and buttons scattered across the driver’s side dashboard and along the front center console. However, the functions are easy to understand and the comprehensive control setup is centered around the driver, making everything easy to access.

Despite its age, the build quality of the Z is excellent. 2024 Nissan Z has generously outfitted its interior with high-quality materials, such as leather-trimmed seats with Alcantara inserts and a few hard plastics. The seats themselves provide ample comfort but are on the stiffer side, with performance-oriented supportive support. There’s plenty of room throughout the cabin, but passengers sometimes hit their elbows with a short armrest in the middle that separates the seats.

While the Z’s overall interior space is great, especially for tall people, finding a good riding position can be a challenge due to the limited seat and handlebar adjustments. The Alcantara-covered Recaro racing seats are a great addition to the Z, but their low profile makes it difficult to get in and out without damaging the cushions. They are designed to be comfortable and supportive, but are not recommended on long trips.

2024 Nissan Z engine

The Z is powered by the same naturally aspirated 3.7-liter V6 found in the original Nissan Z, but modified to produce an additional 18 horsepower and six pounds of torque on the standard model, for a total power output of 350 horsepower. and 276 lb-ft. A $1,850 Z-2.4-inch rear exhaust system can be added to the engine for an extra 5.3 horsepower and 2.5 pound-feet of torque, plus a more powerful exhaust note. Although the Z’s V6 engine isn’t very clean, it’s a classic example of mechanical ingenuity and an important part of the car’s raw, robust feel.

Complementing the Z’s attractive driver engagement, the standard 6-speed manual transmission includes SynchroRev Match technology that accelerates automatically to improve downshifts. Besides being a true killer, the optional seven-speed automatic transmission is slow and high-performance. It separates the driver from Z’s intrinsic involvement. As any traditionalist would agree, the manual is simply the best match.

2024 Nissan Z release date and price

While no special packages have been created for Z, several performance and aesthetic improvements are available. When fully equipped, the base price of the Z will increase to just over $50,000.
