Audi Q6 E Tron 2024 Interior, Release Date

Audi Q6 E-Tron 2024. The Audi electric SUV family’s middle kid has been spied, and its inside has been captured on camera. The Audi Q6 e-tron is distinguished from its smaller (Q4 e-tron) and larger (e-tron, shortly to be renamed Q8 e-tron) siblings, as well as the rest of the Audi family, by its huge touchscreen infotainment system. It is mounted atop a simple center stack and incorporates climate controls. There is a start button, a driving mode selection, and a volume knob on the central console, as well as a shifter and two cupholders.

The dash of this particular prototype looks to be covered in a material like Alcantara, while the digital instrument cluster appears to be somewhat concealed yet also freestanding. The steering wheel appears to have the same touch-capacitive switchgear as the Q4 e-tron, indicating that Audi is continuing with this controversial feature even while Volkswagen steps away.

Externally, this prototype appears to be camouflaged in the same manner as others lately spotted. As with other Audi SUVs, the Q6 e-tron will offer both wagon and Sportback body variants. As with Audi‘s earlier electric models, potentially with the exception of the sporty e-tron GT, its overall look does not appear to be substantially different from combustion-powered cars such as the 2023 debut of the next-generation Q5.

The introduction of the Audi Q6 E-Tron 2024 was also believed to be scheduled for 2023, however sources from Europe indicate that difficulties at Volkswagen Group software subsidiary Cariad have had a rippling effect and delayed the debut of several vehicles. This includes the launch of the Porsche Macan EV, which will share its Premium Platform Electric with the Q6 e-tron. This platform was co-developed by Audi and Porsche.

The Macan EV has been postponed until 2024, and the Q6 e-tron may see a similar delay. The electric range of PPE-based vehicles will reportedly exceed 480 kilometers, with a baseline single electric motor on the rear axle and an optional additional electric motor on the front axle for all-wheel drive. The platform will also feature an 800V electrical system, similar to the J1 platform found in the Porsche Taycan and Audi e-tron GT, and up to 350kW of DC fast-charging power. Electric motor parameters and battery pack sizes for the Q6 E-Tron and Macan EV have not yet been determined.

A variant with a sportier appearance has been spotted undergoing testing, and it could carry the RS Q6 e-tron moniker and produce up to 440 kW of power. Audi has committed to discontinuing the development of new internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicles by 2026, when the second-generation Q8 goes on sale. Reportedly, this Q8 will be available with both ICE and EV powertrains. Audi has left the door open for ICE vehicles to continue to be marketed in China beyond the end of its production run in 2032, although it will solely produce electrified vehicles. The Q6 e-tron should not be confused with the combustion-powered Q6 or the MEB-based electric Q5 e-tron, both of which are specific to China.

Audi Q6 E Tron 2024 Update

Audi has been observed testing a new electric crossover that will be positioned between the Q5 and Q7. It will be known as the Q6 E-Tron and will be available in standard and coupe-like Sportback body types, as well as a high-performance Q6 RS E-Tron variant. Both the Q6 E-Tron and the electric Macan now under development by Porsche share the Volkswagen Group’s new PPE platform for premium electric vehicles. Due to delays, it is now anticipated that the vehicles will not arrive until early 2024, perhaps as 2024 models. Originally, the Q6 E-Tron was expected in 2022 and the Macan EV in 2023. The Q6 E-Tron prototype suggests that the car will resemble the recently introduced Q4 E-Tron, but on a greater scale. However, the Q6 E-Tron features a split headlamp design, which is also novel to the Audi brand.

It is anticipated that the Q6 E-Tron will be slightly larger than the Q5, much as the Q4 E-Tron is slightly larger than the Q3. The PPE platform will have an electrical system with a voltage of 800 volts and a range of at least 300 miles, however no other details have been disclosed.

We know that the Macan EV’s platform will include a 98-kwh battery pack and an electric motor for each axle. At least one Macan EV trim will provide a combined output of more than 603 horsepower and 740 pound-feet of torque, similar to the Q6 RS E-Tron. The Q6 E-Tron will be manufactured in Audi‘s plant in Ingolstadt, Germany, which is being equipped for the manufacture of PPE-based vehicles and batteries.
