Audi Q6 E-Tron 2024. The Audi electric SUV family’s middle kid has been spied, and its inside has been captured on camera. The Audi Q6 e-tron is distinguished from its smaller (Q4 e-tron) and larger (e-tron, shortly to be renamed Q8 e-tron) siblings, as well as the rest of the Audi family, by its huge touchscreen infotainment system. The electric range of PPE-based vehicles will reportedly exceed 480 kilometers, with a baseline single electric motor on the rear axle and an optional additional electric motor on the front axle for all-wheel drive. The platform will also feature an 800V electrical system, similar to the J1 platform found in the Porsche Taycan and Audi e-tron GT, and up to 350kW of DC fast-charging power. Electric motor parameters and battery pack sizes for the Q6 E-Tron and Macan EV have not yet been determined.
A variant with a sportier appearance has been spotted undergoing testing, and it could carry the RS Q6 e-tron moniker and produce up to 440 kW of power. Audi has committed to discontinuing the development of new internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicles by 2026, when the second-generation Q8 goes on sale. Reportedly, this Q8 will be available with both ICE and EV powertrains. Audi has left the door open for ICE vehicles to continue to be marketed in China beyond the end of its production run in 2032, although it will solely produce electrified vehicles. The Q6 e-tron should not be confused with the combustion-powered Q6 or the MEB-based electric Q5 e-tron, both of which are specific to China.

Due to delays, it is now anticipated that the vehicles will not arrive until early 2024, perhaps as 2024 models. Originally, the Q6 E-Tron was expected in 2022 and the Macan EV in 2023. The Q6 E-Tron prototype suggests that the car will resemble the recently introduced Q4 E-Tron, but on a greater scale. However, the Q6 E-Tron features a split headlamp design, which is also novel to the Audi brand.
