Depending on the engine, either two or four exhaust pipes are provided. In addition, there is a diffuser and a roof-mounted spoiler, which are not merely for show. They contribute to the new Cupra Leon being 8% more aerodynamic than its predecessor.

Big air intakes, large wheels, and copper accents characterize the appearance of the new Cupra Leon.

Interior

The interior of the new Cupra Leon is virtually identical to that of the SEAT Leon. Thus, everything is quite simple and minimalist. New Cupra Leon estate

The Cupra Leon will not be available as a cool-looking three-door like the original Leon SC. However, it is available as an estate. From the front, this cargo hauler appears identical to a conventional five-door. However, it is impossible to conceal its Kardashian-sized boot from the rear.

At least the brake lights are as cool as those on the hatchback. Overall, there is 30 litres more room in the trunk than in the five-door model, and the trunk’s wider, lower opening should make loading easier.

The Cupra Leon estate features 30 liters additional trunk space, as well as 310 horsepower and all-wheel drive.

Powerplants

The new Cupra Leon will be available with three gasoline engines. All are 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engines. However, you can choose between 245hp, 300hp, and 310hp models. The entry-level 245hp variant will compete with the next Volkswagen Golf GTI. But, unlike the VW, it will be available with five doors and an estate.

The same applies to the variant with 300 horsepower. However, the range-topping 310 horsepower engine is exclusive to the Cupra Leon ST estate. Ideal for performing rapid pit stops as opposed to pit stops.

Almost every other 300 horsepower hot hatch comes equipped with four-wheel drive. Ultimately, it assists to maximize grip when the accelerator is floored. Not the Leon Cupra. Choose a 245-horsepower or 300-horsepower model, and all of that power is sent only to the front wheels, just like the dated Honda Civic Type R.

You do receive an automated limited-slip differential to prevent the front wheels from wasting all that power. In addition, there are a number of electronic stability programs to keep you headed in the right way. If you desire the security of four-wheel drive, there is still the 310-horsepower estate with standard four-wheel drive.

The Cupra Leon eHybrid has a top speed of 245 mph and an electric-only range of 37 miles.

Hybrid

The Cupra Leon is among the first hot hatchbacks to feature hybrid propulsion. This version, dubbed eHybrid, is equipped with a 150hp 1.4-liter gasoline engine and a 114hp electric motor. Together, they produce 245 horsepower, the same as the entry-level 2.0-liter gasoline automobile.

It may not sound like much, but the electric motor in this hybrid vehicle contributes to its massive 400Nm of torque. This is equivalent to the range-topping 310 horsepower. Who said hybrids had to be dull, Leon? In addition to being speedy, the electric motor allows for up to 37 miles of petrol-free driving. A full charge requires 3.5 hours from a wall box and 6 hours from a three-pin socket.

Regardless of the engine combination you choose, an automatic transmission is standard. It is a dual-clutch transmission, just like the older Leon Cupra, Golf R, and Audi S3 models.
