2023 Mitsubishi Lancer, EVO XI

2023 Mitsubishi Lancer EVO is a car from the Japanese manufacturer Mitsubishi. Lancer has been marketed at different times in different countries as Colt Lancer, Dodge Colt, Plymouth Colt, Chrysler Valiant Lancer, Chrysler Lancer, Eagle Summit, Hindustan Lancer, Soueast Lioncel, Mitsubishi Mirage and sold as Mitsubishi Galant.

Mitsubishi Lancer was also sold in Taiwan as the Mitsubishi Lancer Fortis with a different facelift than the Galant Fortis. In Japan, the Mitsubishi Lancer is sold at a certain retail chain called Car Plaza.

2023 Mitsubishi Lancer is equipped with a standard 148-hp four-cylinder engine, front-wheel drive, five-speed manual or optional CVT transmission. Four-wheel drive with 168 hp is optional. The basic ES is just bones but wallet-friendly.

Mitsubishi Lancer SE offers heated seats and SEL adds leather and rain-sensitive wipers for the windshield. All models have a standard rear view camera. Despite recent modifications, Lancer still trails its more modern competition.

2023 Mitsubishi Lancer interior

Inside, using the Lancer 2023’s infotainment and voice control systems is frustrating, given its sluggish response to user input. The Mitsubishi Lancer comes standard with automatic climate control, a four-speaker audio system, a 6.1-inch touch screen, Bluetooth, a USB port, and audio control.

Available features include a nine-speaker Rockford Fosgate audio system, satellite radio, 7-inch touchscreen, navigation, a sunroof, and proximity key entry.

Mitsubishi Lancer five seater. Standard fabric upholstery with leather upholstery and heated front seats. Both rows of seating offer plenty of comfort and space. However, taller passengers may need more thigh support. The Lancer’s cabin feels old, with hard plastics and other cheap materials covering most surfaces. The 2023 Mitsubishi Lancer outboard rear seats are equipped with complete sets of LATCH connectors for car seat installation. The middle seat has only one upper link.

2023 Mitsubishi Lancer Engine

The Lancer ES 2.0 comes standard with a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 148 horsepower and is mated to a five-speed manual transmission. All-wheel drive models come with a 168-horsepower 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine. The 2023 Mitsubishi Lancer comes with a Continuously Variable Automatic Transmission (CVT) that is supplied with the base engine. The prime mover provides enough power for most driving situations. However, it is very noisy under sudden acceleration, especially when combined with the current CVT. The 2.4L engine is more precise and provides faster acceleration.

The Mitsubishi Lancer comes with a front-wheel drive and is one of the few compact cars with all-wheel drive. With the base engine and CVT, the Lancer 2023 delivers 27 mpg city and 34 mpg highway. These are some of the lowest fuel economy estimates in its class. The 2.4-liter models get up to 23/30 mpg city/highway.

2023 Mitsubishi Lancer Safety

Lancer has received a total of four out of five stars from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. Mitsubishi Lancer earns four stars for frontal, side and rollover crash outcomes. The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety gave the Lancer the second highest acceptable rating in the low overlap frontal crash test. The 2023 Mitsubishi Lancer has the highest good rating in the other four crash ratings. Lancer has fewer active safety features than most of its competitors. Mitsubishi Lancer has a rear camera and rear parking sensors.

2023 Mitsubishi Lancer EVO XI

While the overall look of the car is similar to the entry-level 2023 Mitsubishi Lancer EVO XI from Enoch, the Evo benefits from a large number of customizations. These changes begin at the front, where the LED headlights have been redesigned and are now more powerful. The car also has a set of rally-inspired round LED fog lights and a wide black grille. The front is also designed with large air intakes, a pronounced diffuser and a bold hood with air vent to keep the engine compartment nice and cool.

2023 Mitsubishi Lancer EVO XI Exterior

Moving to the sides, the Enoch introduced the 2023 Mitsubishi Lancer EVO XI with a set of matte black BBS wheels. The rally sedan also has air vents behind the front wheels, extended side skirts and graceful rear doors with intricate and angular structural lines and wrinkles. Interestingly, the profile is reminiscent of the current Honda Civic Type R.

This bold look carries over to the rear, where there is a towering fixed rear spoiler and LED taillights with a prominent light strip extending between them. Rounding off the car’s performance features are the quad exhaust pipes.

2023 Mitsubishi Lancer EVO XI engine

Autocar also said that the alleged 2023 Mitsubishi Lancer EVO XI will arrive around 2022 and will be powered by a 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbo petrol engine with around 255 kW of power and 450 Nm of torque, and a 48-volt mild-hybrid system. Once again, this all seemed reasonable.
